Lhong 1919 (Lhong 1919) of the Bangkok Historic Cultural and Creative Park was officially opened to the public in 2017. It is the former residence of one of the Thai overseas Chinese Chen Cihong's family. It has a historical value of 130 years. Its layout is divided into three main buildings and two-story houses. It is a common courtyard house in the Chinese tradition, and the Mazu memorial tablet is enshrined in the main building in the middle.

This cultural and creative park is located on the left side of the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok. You need to take a boat to reach it. Introduction to Gallery 1919
Formerly known as "Hong Lizhai", it is the former residence of Chen Cihong (sound "Hong"), an overseas Chinese in Chaoshan, Thailand. The family originated when his father was a sailor when he was young. On the road of business, in the first year of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty (1851), he founded Qian Tai Long Commercial Bank in Hong Kong, mainly engaged in the import and export of rice, and then sold Chinese native products to various parts of Southeast Asia, including Thailand, of course.Many merchants who emerged at the end of the Qing dynasty started to profit from cross-border trade. If you have ever watched the Chinese drama "The Flower Blooms and the Moon Is Full", you can understand that businessmen not only had to compete with their peers, but also compete with foreigners in the market.
Chen Cihong inherited his father’s business and established Chen Hongli Bank in Bangkok, Thailand in 1871. It was even more specialized in import and export trade, and even established Chen Shengli Bank (bank), with business scope covering Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Shantou, Guangdong, etc. You can imagine What a huge family business.Corridor 1919 was originally used as a business wharf. He bought the vacant land next to the wharf and built a family house. It is a residential house with a combination of Chinese and Thai architectural features.Later generations will renovate the place and attract investment and operation. During the restoration process, they accidentally discovered the murals on the walls, which were important works preserved at that time. They kept them and became the most popular picture of the social platform.

Gallery 1919 turned into a historical and cultural park in Bangkok
The main operator is the fifth generation of the family. They rent out the store space on the first floor to young designers, restaurants, SPA stores and chain brands.
