◎ The old Aoyama villa was a prosperous fishery in the Meiji era.
This Meiji period mansion belonged to the rich fisherman of Otaru – Aoyama Rukichi. He was born in 1836 in Yusago Aozuka Village, Shonai, Yamagata Prefecture, Japan. At the age of 24, he came to Otaru, Hokkaido and found a job as a fisherman. One year later A small-scale fishery was opened. With the prosperity of the Meiji period, the scale of the fishery continued to expand. In the end, Aoyama Ryuki owned 1 fisheries, 15 fishing boats, and 130 fishermen. He built a large-scale Aoyama Mansion Mansion, which was also used as a filming location for the famous Japanese TV series Asin.
The Aoyama villa we visited originated from the fact that when her granddaughter Masie Aoyama was hosted by the first Japanese landlord Honma in Sakata City, Yamagata Prefecture several times when she was 17 years old, she decided to build a villa in her father Masaki Aoyama and surpassed in one fell swoop. Honma home.Therefore, it is rumored that "Shinjuku Department Store cost about 1 yen, but the construction cost of the Aoyama Villa was nearly 50 yen", and we can understand the luxury of the Aoyama Villa.The total floor area is about 31 pings. The art works in the museum are very precious. You can only visit and not take pictures after entering the museum.
