Bang Pa In Summer Palace is 25 kilometers south of Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of Thailand, and 58 kilometers north of Bangkok. The Bang Pa In Summer Palace, which combines Eastern and Western architecture, is the most representative architectural art in Thailand. The 150-year-old palace occupies a vast area, with rivers, lakes, and parks. There are beautiful Victorian and Italian-style palaces and a Chinese-style temple (Tomorrow Hall) by the lake. This summer residence was built by the fourth emperor Pa Zonggao, and was completed by his successor Rama V into what it looks like today.
Bang Pa-in Palace is divided into several parts
1. Phra Thinang Aisawan Thiphya-Art: A typical Thai pavilion. A four-story corner can be seen from the eaves. Inside, there is a bronze statue of King Rama V. His son Rama VI is the first Thai royal family to go abroad. The monarch who studied abroad, graduated from Oxford University, England. At that time, various countries were eager to reform. So after returning to China, he promoted a series of reforms, such as compulsory education, power plants, sewers, Bangkok International Airport, the establishment of a surname system, and the establishment of the Red Cross. Will wait.
2. The Inner Palace: In the summer palace, because Rama V (1853-1910) loved gardening, a large area of planting was planted in it, and the European architectural style, the king was educated by the British teacher Anna since childhood, plus Follow-up travel to Europe, Italy, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands and other countries, so there are European-style buildings and collections inside and outside the palace.
3. Phra Thinang Warophat Phiman: Built in 1876, it is a neo-classical style and multi-level royal villa.Inside the reception room and the house, there are various oil paintings on display. The themes of the paintings are mostly Thai literature and important historical events. Interestingly, the oil paintings of historical events are from the hands of King Rama V.At present, this building is still a residence frequently used by members of the royal family, and therefore the internal display is forbidden to take pictures.
There are two places to pay attention to when visiting here
– Wear long trousers as much as possible: Because it is a place where the royal family lives, like the Grand Palace in Bangkok, it pays great attention to dressing etiquette. If you don’t have trousers, you can also rent trousers and aprons. (It costs one hundred baht! This money...save it!)
– No photography: You will be asked to put your camera, camera, and bag in the locker. Be careful with valuables.
4. Phra Thinang Uthayan Phumisathian: This building is the favorite residence of King Rama V. Sometimes he will come here several times a year. At first it was constructed with the concept of a Swiss chalet. In 1890, it was the prince of Russia at that time. Ookhtomsky (later the Tsarist II) once traveled and lived here, and praised this villa for "furnished luxuriously and with refined taste and comfort".
However, it was destroyed by a fire in 1938. It was rebuilt in 1996 at the request of the current queen. It was built in Gothic style and retained some structure. Seeing the elegant purple appearance, I think it is really beautiful after reconstruction!

This is where the boat docks in front of the villa. (You can also take a boat trip, stop in front of each villa, and the royal life is really different!)
The prototype is still under construction.
