When I went to Tokyo, Japan for free in 2012, I arranged a one-day tour in Yokohama on the last day of the itinerary. After all the rich Tokyo itinerary, I finally squeezed a day away from the big city scenery and went to the seaside city with a wide view.In just one day's itinerary, how to quickly catch the browsing focus and arrange transportation, and find the way to find a lazy bag by yourself, is to find the local sightseeing bus route!

The main means of transportation in Yokohama City, apart from JR East as the main external communication channel, the urban transportation is mainly bus (city bus) and MRT (city subway), both of which are operated by the Yokohama City Government. The MRT has only two intersecting routes, and there are fewer opportunities to use it. Generally, you can take a city bus for sightseeing. The city bus route is complicated. If you choose the sightseeing bus route directly, you can easily meet general travel needs.

Since it is called a sightseeing bus, it means that this is a bus route that connects the main sightseeing spots. For tourists visiting a city for the first time, it can be said to be particularly useful. Find out the transportation method and finish the homework of the key scenic spots. Up.The detailed subway, general bus and sightseeing bus route maps can be downloaded from the Yokohama City Transportation Bureau website. The sightseeing bus route is currently only available in simplified Chinese.

The sightseeing bus in Yokohama, Japan is called "Red Shoes Sightseeing Loop Bus (あかいくつ)", which is actually a 100-yen circular bus route commonly found in Japanese cities. The fare is 100 yen per adult/50 yen for children.Of course, you can buy a one-day ride ticket, but all kinds of one-day tickets are usually more than 500 yen. If you only want to take a simple one-day trip, the number of rides is not high, but you can only invest in each ride.

The "Redshoe Sightseeing Circulation Bus" has two routes, both of which start from "JR Sakuragicho Station", each circle around and then return. The two routes form a figure eight:

☆ Minato Mirai Route (みなとみらいルート): The blue route, the main scenic spots are Minato Mirai District and Red Warehouse.

☆ Chinatown and Motomachi Route (Chinatown and Motomachi Luto): Orange route, the main scenic spots are the Red Warehouse, Yamashita Park, Chinatown, and Motomachi.

The common attraction of the two routes is the Red Warehouse, but the driving direction is different. The "Minatomirai" line runs clockwise, and the "Chinatown·Motomachi" line runs counterclockwise. Please pay attention before boarding to avoid wasting time.

If you want to go directly to the Akasaka Warehouse from "JR Sakuragicho Station", although both sightseeing routes can be reached, it is only after the "Minatomirai" route goes around a large circle before you arrive at the Akasaka Warehouse. At this time, take the "Chinatown・Motomachi" "The route is a better choice. Of course, if you get on the wrong bus, just calm down and treat it as a city tour!

A special reminder is that sightseeing buses mainly serve tourists, and their operating hours are usually shorter than those of ordinary bus routes. They usually close at 210 o'clock, and at most, they end at 110 or XNUMX o'clock. Those who like to arrange night activities should pay attention to the operating hours of the sightseeing bus. It is too late to take a bus, and the fare is XNUMX yen for adults / XNUMX yen for children.

If it exceeds the operating hours of the sightseeing bus, it is better to do some homework in advance when you have to transfer to the general bus route, so as not to get a little rushed.Fortunately, "JR Sakuragicho Station" is a transportation hub. Many bus routes will come to JR station, so that it is convenient for office workers and tourists to transfer. It is too late to get on the sightseeing bus. If you want to return to the JR station, it will not be. What a big problem.
