The Loi Krathong parade in Tak Province, Thailand. In 2011, there were 33 teams in total, so we waited until almost 11 o'clock that day to see the official water lantern ceremony. The event can be divided into two "parades" and "Royal Water Lanterns", and finally ended with fireworks. So in addition to taking photos this time, I also used Sony NEX5 for the first time to take pictures of some highlights of the parade!

◎ Takfu’s urban area is full of delicious Thai cuisine, you must try it!

Walk from the hotel to eat at XNUMX:XNUMX in the evening. Dafu city has cleared the parade route. There are food stalls on both sides of the road. Occasionally one or two hawkers of clothing are interspersed. Because the parade walks through this place, there are still quite a few. Vendors vacate the space and place comfortable tables and chairs so that guests can watch the parade after meals. However, our dining place is located in the middle of the road, similar to the Raohe Night Market in Taiwan. It has a variety of hawking meals, dining locations and stage performances, which is very convenient.

The meal of the evening is based on northern Thai cuisine. The cuisine features curry, minced meat, lettuce, a trace of lemon and lemongrass, and it is practical with glutinous rice. The taste is not as hot and sour as in Bangkok, but is more tasteful. It is chewy, two dishes are curry flavor, and some capers are placed in it, which tastes quite delicious. In addition, I was very impressed with a dessert. It was a glutinous rice cake in a square shape with an egg tart-like crust on it. The taste and texture were a bit similar to that of Taiwanese rice cakes sold outside Xingtian Temple. I ate several round white rice cakes unconsciously. ^^b

As the Loy Krathong Festival is regarded as a large-scale festival in Thailand, there are children in the stage area wearing classic Lanna costumes and beautiful hairpins, singing and dancing on the stage, making the overall atmosphere extremely lively.

◎ The parade demonstrated the strength of each village's water lantern production, with full firepower!

After the meal, the streets that were supposed to be empty are already full of people. The local residents are all sitting on the ground. There are people selling a piece of plastic paper about 80*80. I guess it is about 20 or 30 baht. !The crowds on both sides are probably as thick as four or five rows. When we found a place to sit down, the tour guide helped me ask several Thai chicks, "What time are you going to take the place?" They smiled and said, "It's just arrived. Yes.” It is mainly because a few friends who have served as the float girls for this parade have to help take a lot of commemorative photos. ^^ (At that time, I went to eat, but I still haven’t seen anyone occupying the place. It seems that after the meal, they find a place to sit down at will. Even they are very polite, and they will sit down and avoid blocking people behind. Vision.)

Immediately after the parade began, there were student bands, dragon and lion dances, etc., and young girls wearing Lanna costumes followed in front of the royal water lanterns. According to the tour guide, Xiao Chen explained that Dafu received 10 sets of water from the Thai royal family this time. Lamps, representing the king, queen, prince, and several princesses, as the royal family, pray to the jellyfish (god) for peace and prosperity this year, and the flood will disappear quickly. The water lamp is cast on the Mae Bin River to take away the troubles of the year. And bring happiness. In addition, 2011 is the 84th birthday of the King of Thailand, the 80th birthday of the queen, and the 60th birthday of the prince who succeeded to the throne. Therefore, the Dafu officially organized a grand celebration ceremony, including the parade, stage performances on the water, and invitations to singers. Live singing, etc., to show respect for the Thai royal family.

The lighting of the parade at night is not ideal, so after taking some highlights photos, I also used the video method to shoot a few videos for everyone to watch. The length of the video is about one to three minutes, so that everyone can also experience the grand event of the local event! (Although I waited for the official release of water lanterns and fireworks until I fell asleep, and the director also said that I had waited too long...Looking at the hard work of the young, please give me a compliment. Thank you all~)
