The Ninth Emperor's Garden and Botanic Garden: a giant park attraction loved by local residents in Bangkok

I came to Bangkok for a one-month trip in February 2020. At this time, facing the haze of Wuhan pneumonia, fortunately, I came to Bangkok in the cool season. You can arrange outdoor activities and restaurants as much as possible. You can also choose attractions with few tourists. Back to King Rama IX Royal Park (King Rama IX Royal Park) with a small hamburger, I can finally let the children relax and run and jump as much as they want.

The basic introduction and surrounding environment of the Ninth Emperor's Garden in Thailand

The Ninth Emperor's Garden (สวนหลวง ร.9) can also be translated as Rama IX Royal Park. It was built in 1987 and officially opened on December 12 of the same year to celebrate the 1 years old of Thailand’s beloved King Rama IX. On its birthday, it also promoted plant education and natural environmental protection. Now it is an important sports and leisure place for the locals in Bangkok. There are many replenishment stations in the Park of the Ninth Emperor Palace, selling all kinds of drinks and snacks. There is an S&P restaurant beside the lake, which serves meals and drinks. The lake is equipped with a swan-shaped water pedal boat, which costs 60 baht per half an hour.

The Ninth Emperor Gardens is located in Lat Krabang County to the east of Bangkok. It is close to the well-known Sina Karim Night Market, Seacon Square and Paradise Park. It can be reached by taxi or double carriage from the BTS Skytrain. The area is suitable for shopping and leisure for the locals in Bangkok. It is relatively remote for tourists, so there are quite few tourists. It is recommended to visit the park in the afternoon and then call a car to the Sina Karin Night Market in the evening to renew the stalls. The premise is to pick when the weather is cool and the holiday night market opens.

The regional distribution and activity experience of the Ninth Emperor Imperial Garden

The entire park covers an area of 200 acres, covering lakes, gardens, botanical gardens, leisure facilities and children's playgrounds. It is mainly divided into three areas: leisure activities area, royal garden and botanical garden. The Royal Garden has six entrances and exits. No. 1-4 to the east can enter and exit the Royal Garden, No. 6 to the east is the entrance to the Botanical Garden, and No. 5 to the west is the entrance to the leisure activity area. It is recommended to enter and exit from the No. 5 entrance. It is adjacent to the leisure activity area with the most facilities. Skytrain stations, night markets and shopping malls are also more convenient.

We enter the leisure activity area from the 5th entrance, and oncoming is a large children’s play area. This place has allowed the little burgers to have fun and buy ice cream to lure us, so that we can go to S&P for a meal. In the evening, the breeze on the lake slowly blows, and you can enjoy the sunset while walking on the boat. Unfortunately, there is no bread on hand, so I can’t learn Thai people to feed fish. After going ashore, I walked along the lakeshore. There were jogging people along the way. The feeling of being part of the local life.

The vast activity space and children’s amusement facilities in the Ninth Emperor Imperial Garden are very suitable for bringing children together. However, although there are many trees, flowers and green areas in the park, the summer heat can be expected, so if there are no Thais to resist the heat Skills, it is more recommended to come in the season from November to February of the following year, and when you choose the holiday night market to open, you can not only avoid the heat in the huge park, but also go to the night market.
