SONY launched the NEX series of mirrorless cameras. At that time, I asked my sister to buy the first-generation NEX5 dual-lens combination for me in Tokyo, Japan. It was mainly used for traveling and carrying a single lens plus a few customary lenses. Often I came back because it was too heavy. And the use of time is too long, causing inflammation of the wrist easily, so we have been looking for a light and single eye portable machine. However, if you are used to single-eye image quality, you will still expect better image quality behind the lightweight. I think the new generation of NEX6 and NEX5R will be a good choice for everyone.

Because of my work, I received the SONY NEX6 and NEX5R evaluation experience from the YAHOO! Shopping mall. I was actually very happy. I already have friends around me to see if the NEX6 performs well. I hope to use it to see and share some shooting experience with everyone. Secondly, I still haven’t found a portable device with light weight and “good picture quality”. The definition of picture quality here refers to the purity of picture quality that can meet my needs when shooting at high ISO. In the past, I was in the shooting room, For night scenes, you need to mount a tripod and carry a wide-angle lens with a constant aperture, which will indeed increase the weight and burden when traveling.

When visiting the Loy Krathong Festival in Thailand in November last year, colleagues Geyou used NEX11R and NEX5 to shoot the night parade. When they came back to share the photos, they felt that the NEX series had gone a step further on the performance of the second-generation two fuselages and saw them handheld shooting. In the parade, I used the ISO7 camera and Kit lens. The photo performance was much better than that of my single eye, and I could take it with me and capture it immediately. Therefore, I am also watching the performance of the third generation of SONY this year.

◎ SONY NEX6 SELP1650 motorized zoom lens◎
The evaluation lens received is the newly launched SELP1650 motorized zoom lens, with a focal length of 16mm~50mm F3.5~5.6 and a storage capacity of only 2.9cm. It is more lightweight and portable when mounted on the body. The NEX6 body inherits the design of the NEX7 roller and hot shoe. Unlike the forward body of the NEX5N, it has to enter the Menu control mode, various settings, and shoot various modes P (program auto), A (aperture priority), S (Shutter priority), M (full manual), panorama mode, etc. are independent, allowing the photographer to quickly manipulate and switch to the shooting needs.

In addition, the subjects I shoot are mostly static, such as food, street photography, people, restaurants, etc. Therefore, the single-eye A mode is most often used. Under the second wheel, the aperture size can be adjusted at will, plus the side-screen wheel. The ISO and EV values can be adjusted. Compared with the first-generation NEX5 I bought, this body has improved a lot, adding the user's actual experience of taking pictures. In addition, those who are accustomed to framing through the viewfinder should not worry. NEX6 also accepts the electronic viewfinder of the big brother NEX7, so that you can still enjoy the beautiful feeling of seeing the world from a small window when taking pictures. ^^

▲ The SELP1650 motorized zoom lens is a lightweight biscuit lens, but I am still satisfied with the quality of the shot.

▲ The front slightly protrudes the grip design and the skin. I find it easier to pick it up. I prefer the skin design to the NEX5R.

◎ SONY NEX6 is suitable for you who are about to start the monocular world or purchase a portable machine ◎
At present, my friends around me also use a very high proportion of monoculars, and usually the subject of shooting is similar to mine. After taking a food photography course, I learned that to improve the popularity of photos, most of them need to use "appropriate white balance" and "appropriate white balance." -EV" and "Light Source Judgment", but I think that for people who often use Auto mode to shoot, it takes a lot of time to go to class or check on the Internet to find out if there is a camera. I don’t know much about it. With the various functions of the single eye, can you help them to shoot as well as possible?

Therefore, during this experience, my shooting settings are as follows:
1. Use A mode more often, only adjust the aperture and EV value, and even set ISO to automatic judgment
2. Shooting themes are sunny outdoor, cloudy, indoor food during the day, indoor food at night, night scene
3. I also let the camera set the white balance automatically to see the accuracy of the judgment

The Sony NEX6 is equipped with an APS-C size 1610 megapixel CMOS Exmor sensor. I think the quality of the photos taken is not bad, even beyond my expectations. I was quite worried about the night scene in handheld shooting and using high ISO. , The noise suppression may be unsatisfactory, but you can click on these photos to see the performance is actually good! For those who want to get started with a single eye, I think the SONY NEX series can be the first choice. The main reason is that it still retains the lightness and portability of the consumer camera you used before. If you don’t want to understand the complicated functions at first, you just want to use the fool mode to take pictures. The photo quality can completely increase your satisfaction!

If there is anything else you want to know about this station, please leave a message at the end of the article and ask, I will reply to the photo experience as much as possible for your reference. In the end, the Menu screen is not included, mainly because the editors of many technology websites have taken more professional photos than me. If you want to know the information of the menu, you can check it online.
