"Bangkok Afternoon Tea Recommendation" Oriental Mandarin, a leisurely place for afternoon tea on the Chao Phraya River

Having been to Bangkok many times, I finally had the opportunity to enjoy a delicious afternoon tea moment in the Author's Lounge.

After entering, I was led by the staff at the counter and looked around... I felt like "Wow! This is the afternoon tea in a five-star hotel. Every display and furnishings look very high-end. Will the next table be Where is the local lady in Bangkok?"

In fact, it was tourists who came here from Taiwan. They chatted at the two tables and found that each other had read the Queen's book "Queen i Bangkok", which introduced the wonderful afternoon tea of Oriental Mandarin. (I really want to get to know them with a book, and say I am too! ^^b) And following the Queen’s suggestion, the Oriental Mandarin afternoon tea is very rich in dim sum, you can go without having Chinese food, just order an afternoon A full tea meal (tea & three-layer snacks) + a pot of tea is enough!

The service staff of Oriental Mandarin is really well-trained. When we finish reading the Menu and discussing which meals and teas to order, we will immediately ask for the order. Timing has a good grasp and does not make people feel rushed. Or keep urging guests to order. In addition, because it is my first visit, I really don’t know the taste of these teas. The service staff will ask "Do you usually drink tea?", "What kind of tea do you usually drink?", "Which one has a better taste? Strong, do you want me to show you the incense?".

Most of the people who come here are tourists. Three or five friends chatted and shared with each other new things about this journey, and Wendy and I... the two Zhais are staring at the iPhone and downloading e-books on the phone. The software allows us to read books while drinking tea even though we don’t have magazines or books. (^___^)

Later, watching a group of people walk in, "Wow~ bride!" hurriedly yelled Wendy and looked up.It is a couple of Chinese-faced couples taking wedding photos at Oriental Mandarin, accompanied by photographers*2 (photographing, video recording), stylist, lighting, and assistants. It is really enviable to watch them take pictures of happiness. (Wendy: "Obviously we are going to take pictures in April or May this year, what's the envy", ㄟ...Yes! Ha~).The restaurant and outdoor area on the side are also reserved by them. In the afternoon, the restaurant staff is busy entering and exiting the layout of the venue, overlooking the river bank, it can be imagined that it is a luxurious wedding!

Consumption settlement on the day is: 990 baht (full afternoon tea) + 290 baht (order a pot of tea, renewable pot) * 17% (service charge & government tax) = 1,392 baht.

The service staff will help refill the pot in a timely manner. (There is no tea bag inside, because it will soak for a long time and it will have astringent taste)
