"The Scenery of Kyoto Market" Chionji Temple has a hand-made market a million times, and a large collection of hand-made goods

Located in the Chionji Temple in Sakyo District, Kyoto, there will be a hand-made market on the 15th of the middle of the month. It is often called the "Million Times Market". It is full of handmade goods stalls, which is a little simple. The taste of it made me want to take it all home that day, so let’s come in and have a look!

The origin of the title a million times.

According to legend, Zhien Temple was built by a Japanese monk entering Tang Dynasty at that time. Later, Yuanzhi built a shadow hall for Faran here, named Zhien Temple. In the first year of Yuanhong (1331), the epidemic in Kyoto was prevalent. The eighth-generation abbot of Zhien Temple, Shanafengle, recites the Buddha a million times in the palace. For seven consecutive days, the disease is no longer prevalent, so he was given the name "Million Times" in Kuan. Moved to the current location in the second year of Wen (1662).In the third year of Tensho (1575), Emperor Mashincho decreed that Chion-in was the head of the Jodo sect.Temple treasures include silk coloring statues of master masters, prawns and iron crutches, ten-body Amitabha, Buddha Nirvana, pure land mandala, etc. [The above information comes fromBaidu Encyclopedia]

How to get to Zhien Temple Million Times Market?

Bus route: We are visiting Kyoto this time. Taking into account our parents, we chose hotels near Kyoto Station. It is convenient for dining, and convenient transportation when going to various scenic spots. So that day, we chose to take the bus to Kyoto Station. Take bus No. 206 at the front station and get off at the "Millions of Times" station. In addition, bus No. 17 can also sit here.

Subway route: If you want to take the subway, you can take the Karasuma Line and then change to the No. 3 and No. 17 buses at Imadegawa Station and get off at Wanwan.

Tram route: It can be divided into two routes. One is from Demachiyanagi Station on the Kyoto Line of Keihan Railway, and it takes about ten minutes to walk to the station. The second is the Hankyu Kyoto Line "Shijo Kawaramachi Station", and then transfer to the No. 3, No. 17, and No. 201 buses to get there.

What are the specialty products of the Million Times Market, which are the ones you must buy?

This hand-made market is held in Zhien Temple on the 15th of every month. It is open from nine in the morning to four in the afternoon. There are about 350 stalls of various sizes.Commodity categories can be roughly divided into food, furnishings, clothing, accessories, plants, handicrafts, special small objects, etc. Such hand-made commodity stalls are different from the stalls we generally recognize, and emphasize the characteristics of "general creation". Therefore, the merchandise has a sense of simplicity, and you can feel the creativity and ingenuity of the stall owners.

Although we carried some snacks with us, there were also many delicious foods in the market, including hand-made coffee, pickled pickles, and all kinds of fragrant breads. I think their craftsmanship is really good, and local mothers-in-laws are also rushing to buy them. Shengjing. There are also many household items to buy on site, such as hand-made pottery bowls and plates, small wooden furniture or carved wooden houseplates, etc. I like the taste of carefully crafted one-handedly, and the design of the exterior is not too flowery. Qiao, on the contrary, I put more of the boss's own ideas into it. The price may be more expensive than that of Taiwan, but buying some unique home accessories to commemorate or use is also one of the joys of travel. (I remember that the prices they set are true, but if Southeast Asian countries sometimes raise prices to make tourists bargain, so there is no bargaining on the spot!)

Most of the bags and clothing that girls will like are Muji-like styles. According to Riza, they are forest girls^^, but the size is mostly Free Sizz, otherwise they will definitely start moving home, the materials are very comfortable to touch, and the styles are good. It is a leisure route, and it is also very practical to wear at home. And the on-site booth has a lot of accessories. Compared with the accessories in Bangkok, Thailand, the style is more exquisite and delicate, with jade, leather and other elements. Remember that there is a large jewelry parts store on the fourth or fifth floor of Yodobashi, and there are quite a few girls. You can choose from it and make your own accessories.

In addition, I believe that the most attractive aspects of the Million Times Market are the handicrafts and special small objects. One of the stalls sells all kinds of small objects for postcards and bookmarks. The photography style is bright and colorful. The proprietress is a one A lovely young girl from Kyoto, she overprinted these photographs on cellophane sheets, and I couldn’t put it down and bought them back to Taiwan. There are also a few booths for cute stamps, and some can also be engraved with their own names, and they are quite hand-made with colorful Indonesian covers. In the end, I took a lot of photos. I hope everyone likes it, and I hope I can go shopping again when I visit Kyoto next time. ^^
