Takadagawa Senbon Sakura: A picnic among the cherry blossom tunnels on the Nara waterfront

Wendy and Anya went to Kansai to enjoy cherry blossoms in 2016. They stopped by to visit friends living in Kyoto. During the cherry blossom viewing, apart from barbecue and beer at night, the most recommended arrangement is to come next to the river and under the cherry trees. ㄧ Let’s have a picnic and chat leisurely. At that time, the whole itinerary featured picnic mats in various rivers and rivers to see cherry blossoms. Except for Kamo River in Kyoto, the Yahata Back Dike, the Sabo River in Nara, and the Nanaya River in Kameoka are all pretty good locations. The first one I will introduce is Yamato Takada's Takadagawa Senbonzakura.

Transportation: How to get to the banks of the Takata River in Yamato Takata?

Yamatotakada City is located in the northwestern region of the Kansai Nara Line. There are three railway stations in the area: Yamato Takada Station (Kintetsu Osaka Line), Takata City Station (Kintetsu Minami Osaka Line), and Takata Station (JR Yamato Line), whether from Kyoto or From Osaka, the traffic is very convenient. Even if you come by car, Nishimeihan Expressway and Minamihanna Road can pass through, but the chances of traffic jams are quite high during cherry blossom viewing.

If departing from Kyoto Station, it is recommended to take the direct train between the Kintetsu Kyoto Line and the Kashihara Line (without changing trains), then transfer at Yamato Yagi Station to Yamato Takada Station (Kintetsu Osaka Line) and get off, or transfer at Kashihara Jingumae Station Get off at Takada City Station (Kintetsu Minami-Osaka Line). If you are departing from Osaka, you can take the Kintetsu Osaka Line at Tsuruhashi Station, or the Kintetsu Minami-Osaka Line/JR Yamato Line at Tennoji Station.

This time we took the Kintetsu from Kyoto Station, took the express route and transferred at Kashihara Jingumae Station, and took the Kintetsu Minami-Osaka Line and got off at Takada City Station. The route from Kyoto is similar to the transportation route to Yoshino Mountain. Transfer to Jingumae Station, Yoshino Mountain and Takada River are both recommended spots for viewing cherry blossoms at Ichimoku Senbon.

The most beautiful cherry blossom tunnel next to Takada City Station

From Yamato Takada Station, Takata City Station, and Takada Station to Takata River, the walking distance is within 500 meters. It is recommended that the cherry blossom view of Takata City Station is the most beautiful. The three tributaries of the upper reaches of Takata River meet here. The scenery where the railway train shuttles under the cherry trees. After walking through the railway, you will see a dense and lush cherry blossom tunnel. Wendy thinks it is the most beautiful cherry blossom viewing spot on the Takata River. No matter from which station you come to the Takata River, it is recommended that you have it at the end. Go to the riverside picnic and garden party in Dazhong Park

Dazhong Park is located in the center of the Takada River Senbonzakura. We visited this place on April 2016, 4. It coincided with a Sunday garden party event. Dazhong Park is very lively. The cherry blossom viewing spots on the river bank are usually not easy to find food. Preparing a picnic can be said to be the best choice. If you come here on a holiday and meet the lively food stalls at the garden party, foraging for food is quite simple!Of course, the disadvantage is that it is a bit noisy. Fortunately, the 3-kilometer-long cherry blossom landscape of the Takata River effectively disperses the crowds. Those who love peace can sit down and enjoy the cherry blossoms in places with less crowds at the north and south ends.

Conclusion

When arranging the Kansai cherry blossom viewing itinerary in 2016, after having walked through the carefully crafted gardens of Kyoto and the leisurely water scenery of Shiga, this time the cherry blossom viewing mainly took the rural countryside along the river and went to Keihana. River-themed cherry blossom viewing spot, the advantage of river cherry blossom viewing is that it can disperse the crowds, and it will not be crowded to the point where it is difficult to take pictures and view the scenery, so that the cherry blossom viewing process can be slowed down, and the beauty of the cherry blossoms can be truly leisurely appreciated, and more importantly, between relatives and friends The focus of pre-preparation is on picnic mats and meals!
