When planning the itinerary of Hokkaido, my task was to "Taiwanese tourists would like to travel on their own." From this perspective, the first stop came to Hakodate, a city known for its millions of night scenes, so what else is special here? How to play or attractions?Follow me for a stroll and feel the beauty that is different from Tokyo, Osaka or Kyoto.
This day in Hakodate is mainly based on the harbor area. First, take the EVA Air to enter Hakodate Airport. After arriving in the city from the airport, you will arrive at the hotel Check-in. At this time, it is about mid-afternoon. Hakodate at the end of June is really cool but cool. Comfortable, I think there are many European-style buildings left in the early days in Motomachi. You don't need to fly to Europe. After the walk, you can go to Mount Hakodate to enjoy the night view.Second, considering the time interval of the itinerary, it will be smoother to put Hakodate morning market and Wulingguo east area the next morning.
◎ How to get to Motomachi?
What's quite interesting in the downtown area of Hakodate is the "overground tram". To me, who has never used it before, it is very new. It is like taking a train while enjoying the city view. Each station is not far away, so I am at JR Hakodate Station. In front of the association, you can see the ground tram boarding point "Hakodate Station Front". There are routes No. 2 and No. 5, and each stop is marked with nearby attractions.Take Line 5 and get off at Suehirocho.
▲ From the hotelホテルグランティア Hakodate StationWalk here, about 5 minutes.
▲ Take Line 5 and get off at Suehirocho. The European-style buildings of Hakodate are located in this area.
▲ Lovely painted patterns!
▲ Walk back after arriving.
▲ Walk all the way from Hachimanzaka.
▲ From here, I can see Hakodate Harbor all the way, and this big slope makes me feel a bit like the undulating slopes of San Francisco.
▲Along the way, there are Japanese-style old-style and new-style rooms adjacent to each other. At this time, the street is very quiet and there are no people.
▲ Sometimes I am very busy at work, I like such a quiet street, and the whole is very relaxing (= empty).
▲ I even admire this kind of life, a house of my own, a small open space in front of which you can grow flowers and dogs.
▲ Because I was rushing to Motomachi Park, I could not enjoy the afternoon time in this tea house. If there are children or elders in the company,
If you feel tired, you can rest here before leaving.
▲ The old Soma Mansion is a wealthy businessman who started in the Meiji era. It exhibits his personal collection and antiques.
▲ The paid visit is worth a glance.
▲ Hakodate's seafood is as famous as the king crab!
▲ Watch out for your feet at any time, there will be such a fun waterway cover.
▲ Arrive at Motomachi Park.
▲ The air here is very good, and the red house is lined with blue sky and green trees. I love it very much!
The red brick house is the old development of the Hakodate branch office book library.
▲ The Hakodate Branch Office of the Old Hokkaido Government Office provides a lot of information about the scenic spots that Hakodate did not know, and you can also buy tickets here.
For example, if you buy it together at the public hall + consulate, it will be cheaper!
▲ At the end of June, Hakodate’s summer footsteps finally arrived, and it was so comfortable to bask in the sun!
▲I arrived at the public hall in the old Hakodate district. Fortunately, there are not many tourists, so you can take pictures as much as you want here.
▲ After visiting the public hall, walk to Motomachi Park.
◎ Old Public Hall of Hakodate Ward (Kyu Hakodateku Kokaido)
The Western-style building, which started in Meiji 42 and was completed in September of the following year, is the old Hakodate Public Hall. From the appearance, it is symmetrical and made of wood as the main building material. The edges of the building and the sides of the roof are painted in bright yellow. The balconies, roof windows, doorways and entrances are all beautifully carved and designed with sky blue primer, which is a very distinctive architectural style. Because of the age, the public hall has been designated as an important national cultural property of Japan.
The origin of the old public hall in Hakodate is mainly the residence where the Crown Prince (later Emperor Taisho) traveled and lived in the Meiji era. In the Taisho era, it was also the residence of the Crown Prince (Emperor Showa) who visited Hakodate for generations. Inheritance adds a bit of ancient meaning. Now, the public hall has been converted into a concert hall, and part of the space is an exhibition space. One of the spaces is the "high collar", which is open for tourists to wear western-style dresses to take pictures. The European-style buildings are reflected in the sun. The biggest gain of the scattered strategy accompanying.
▲ It is not possible to take pictures inside the tour, but it is great! So take the promotional photos at the door for your reference.
▲ The overall building of the public hall in the old Hakodate district is well preserved. I admire their dedication to maintaining these monuments.
And know how to maintain it by ticket revenue.
◎ Motomachi Park (Motomachi Park / もとまちこうえん)
Motomachi Park was the political center of Hakodate in the early days. In the early 20th century, Japan opened to the outside world. Therefore, Hakodate became the main trading port at that time. It also gathered consulates, churches and western houses. So when I strolled here, I felt that the area of Motomachi Park was very exotic. Such as the public hall of the old Hakodate district, the Catholic Motomachi church, and the Christos Orthodox church.
The most notable thing in the park is the old Hokkaido Government Hakodate branch office building. Its first floor is the tourist information center, and it provides introductions to many attractions, and even discount coupons for the night view of Mount Hakodate. Take a brief introduction so that you will gain a better understanding of the historical background of the building while visiting. The second floor is currently the Hakodate City Photo History Museum, where you can see the old style of Hakodate. The book library of the Hakodate branch office of the old pioneering embassy built with red bricks on the side can be visited directly!
▲ From here, you can see the coastal harbor view.
▲ When the weather is good, you can see the hills in the distance one by one.
▲Maybe it's weekdays. There are not many tourists in Motomachi Park, so it is very comfortable to visit.
▲Because there are very few large parks and open spaces like this in Taipei for children to play,
I feel that parent-child travel is very arranged here to allow myself and my children to have more outdoor activities.
▲ Not only the park, but there are many such lovely sculptures along the way.
▲ Actually, I will bring some portable outdoor toys for children to play together, like a Frisbee, this is very suitable for children to chase and run!
▲ About to go to the next attraction "Old British Consulate".
▲There are scenic spots along the way here on the billboard, you can arrange it at will, sometimes you don’t need to follow the table to teach.
More pleasant surprises can be obtained! ^^
