In-depth understanding: the brand story of the Rainbow Hotel Series
Travelodge is a hotel brand founded in the UK. In 1985, it opened its first hotel in Lower Barton, Netherland, becoming the first economy hotel brand in the UK. Subsequently, its bases expanded from the UK to Ireland, Spain and other countries. Among them, Travelodge's brand operation in Asia is independently operated by Travelodge Hotels (ASIA), which is wholly owned by Singapore's ICP Ltd. Its business scope and expansion base cover Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong and other places.
Far East Hospitality is responsible for operating the Rainbow Hotel business in Australia and owns nine brands, including Oasia, Quincy, Rendezvous, Village, Far East Collection, Adina, Vibe Hotels, Travelodge Hotels and TFE Hotels Collection. Far East Hospitality has also established a partnership with ICP Ltd., both of which are listed companies in Singapore.
In terms of location, the hotel is within walking distance of two Nagoya Municipal Subway stations: Marunouchi Station and Fushimi Station. Both stations provide easy access to the hotel area. The Sakae shopping district is about a 15-minute walk away, which isn't particularly close, but it's not too far either. It's important to note that if you're carrying large luggage, it's not recommended to get off at the nearest exit. A more convenient option is to take the train to Marunouchi Station, which has an elevator that connects directly to the ground level (easily found on a subway map). Even then, it's still about a 10-minute walk from the elevator exit to the hotel. For travelers with luggage, children, or those with mobility issues, the walk itself isn't difficult, but it is still quite a distance from the hotel. For dining options, the area is primarily comprised of izakayas (Japanese pubs). Walking towards the Sakae shopping district, you'll gradually encounter ramen shops and set meal restaurants. Overall, the area offers simple but limited choices. Regarding the nighttime environment, the hotel is located in a hotel district with generally acceptable safety. Nagoya City has banned touting, so there are no soliciting customers on the streets. However, you may still see some people coming and going at night, occasionally smoking, littering, or engaging in indecent behavior (such as urinating in public). Travelers who are sensitive to nighttime environments or dislike this atmosphere should carefully consider whether staying here is suitable. The itinerary mainly involves traveling by car to attractions around the city center or in the suburbs, making this a relatively good choice. Compared to the complex and crowded subway lines around Nagoya Station, it feels easier to start from here. However, to reach more distant suburban attractions, such as Inuyama Castle, or to transfer to a bus at Nagoya Station to reach places like Gujo Hachiman, you will still need to take the subway for one or two stops to Nagoya Station before transferring. Overall, the accommodation experience is acceptable, but there are still some details that could be improved. The pillows in the room were a bit low, which might be uncomfortable for some guests. Additionally, the space for hanging clothes and the number of hangers were limited, especially during winter when guests often have coats and heavy clothing. Adding more hangers to accommodate different seasons would be more convenient. Regarding front desk service, it's recommended that staff receive more training on responding to common guest inquiries, such as approximate taxi fare estimates to major locations, whether they can assist with calling a taxi, and the available timeframe. Furthermore, the front desk staff's English communication skills were somewhat limited, and no on-site translation tools were provided. In some cases, guests had to use translation software to communicate, which was slightly inconvenient. Aside from these details, the overall stay was without major issues and provided a generally satisfactory experience.

@The transportation is very convenient, near Marunouchi Station, Sakae Station, and Hisaya-Odori Station, about a 5-10 minute walk away. You can just walk in the direction of the line you need to take each day. @By the way, this is very important: the room is incredibly soundproof. So soundproof that I thought only a few people were staying there or that no one was next door. One morning, I noticed at least 40-50 group guests checking out downstairs, and many more checked in that evening, but I didn't hear a sound, not even the pipes... @The room's air conditioning and heating are very powerful. Even at 29 degrees Celsius, the air conditioning was still cold, and at 23 degrees Celsius, the heating was unbearably hot, haha. @The room is very clean, and although it's not big, the bed is very comfortable, just right for two people. @It's about a ten-minute walk to Don Quijote and Daikoku Drugstore, which is quite close. There are very few drugstores nearby, so if you see one on the street, be sure to buy something. @The toilet has a separate wet and dry area, but there is no bathtub. @The area around the hotel is mostly nightlife district. Many people gather and solicit customers at night, but they recognize foreigners and don't approach or solicit business. However, it can be a little scary to walk alone at night. @The area around the hotel is mostly izakayas (Japanese pubs). There are Toriko and Ichiran Ramen nearby; I ate there for three consecutive nights (around 10 pm) without having to wait in line! Perhaps due to recent events, there were very few Chinese tourists… @Overall, I was quite satisfied with the hotel's service and environment, and I recommend it.

The facilities are new, and the room isn't very big, but the price is relatively cheap. There are two washing machines at 400 yuan per use, two dryers at 100 yuan for 30 minutes, and detergent is sold at the counter for 100 yuan per pack. The location is very convenient, but it's not very close to the subway station exit.

This hotel is very close to the city center, with a convenience store downstairs and a 24-hour supermarket nearby, making shopping easy. It's about a 6-minute walk to Susukino Station. I slept very well for all 5 nights I stayed, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
I booked the hotel through their website in mid-December, covering Christmas and New Year's Eve. The location was incredibly convenient, near Dongdaemun Plaza's New Year's Eve celebrations. It was also one of the few hotels at that time offering double rooms for under 4000 won per night, with separate wet and dry areas, and where I could spread my luggage out. The stay was quite pleasant. The front desk staff could almost all communicate in English, which was very helpful for foreign travelers who don't speak Korean fluently. The basement has a gym with two treadmills, exercise bikes, and dumbbells; I had it all to myself each time, and it was very comfortable. The downside is that there's only one washing machine and one dryer on the 20th floor, which is insufficient; you have to do laundry during off-peak hours. The price is 3000 won for laundry, 3000 won for dryer, and 1000 won for cleaning supplies (purchased from a vending machine next to the elevator on the first floor). Housekeeping was a bit perfunctory. They mentioned daily garbage collection, towel replacement, and bottled water replenishment, and that a three-night stay included free full housekeeping, including changing the sheets. Every morning before leaving the hotel, we informed the front desk staff of our needs. However, several times basic cleaning was neglected; one day they forgot to refill the water, another day they forgot to empty the trash can, and even on two consecutive days the sheets were stained, which the housekeeping staff simply made without changing. We only discovered this when we returned to the hotel at night, and could only ask the staff to change them the next day. The bathroom door was a sliding door and couldn't be closed completely. Also, perhaps due to too many people using the Wi-Fi, one night the connection was completely unavailable. A buffet is served on B1 from 7 to 10 am every day, costing about NT$12 per person. You pay at the counter and get a voucher to eat. The buffet includes fried rice, pasta, sausage, fries, mashed potatoes, scrambled eggs, two kinds of soup, iced milk, and crispy chips. You can also toast your own bread and croissants, and there's butter and jam available, which is quite a good deal.

This time, booking a double room for one night for only NT$1,000 was a great deal. The location was also good, with a convenience store and underground shopping mall entrance nearby, so you don't have to worry about the wind and sun. It's also close to the nearest subway station, and Gwangjang Market and Dongdaemun are within a ten-minute walk. If the price is still around NT$1,000 next time, I would consider staying here again.

The service from Yubin at the counter was impressive; he demonstrated a high level of professionalism and a friendly attitude. Mr. Yubin speaks fluent Mandarin, quickly grasped my needs, effectively assisted in resolving issues, and provided a great deal of valuable information. As a Taiwanese, it is truly rare to encounter such a friendly and professional service staff member abroad.

It's rare to travel to Seoul during the Lunar New Year. Rooms were completely full. I finally managed to find a room through a local booking group. Upon arriving in Seoul, I was worried about potential problems with the room, but after two days of searching, I discovered it was only a 5-minute walk from the Myeongro bustling area. Plus, it's very close to subway line 4, station 2. I'm truly very satisfied.
I absolutely love this room! Please definitely book the ocean view suite! The day and night views are amazing. Although I didn't stay on the top floor mentioned in the reviews, this is the view from the 26th floor – incredible! I didn't want to leave the room every day! The location is also great; there's a bus stop next door, a 711-Eleven downstairs, and the subway station, Lotte Department Store, and Shinsegae Department Store are all within 5 minutes. Highly recommend: Nohs Cafe next door. Takeaway premium hand-drip coffee is 3000 won; you can choose the beans, and the yogurt bagels are delicious! Please don't just go to Starbucks – the room is very clean, and they provide two bottles of water and brand-new towels daily – more than enough for one person! Although there are a lot of mirrors, which made me feel a bit uneasy while sleeping, there were no strange occurrences. A few minor suggestions: 1. No clothes hangers – how do I dry clothes? 2. No tableware – what's the stove for? 3. No laundry detergent. 4. Please upgrade the gym; the equipment is too basic. 5. The recommended restaurant list is completely unusable. Entering English characters won't find it on Naver Maps or Google Maps; it's a complete waste of your hard work designing it. Oh, but I can't type Korean, how am I supposed to search? I suggest adding a map link with a QR code.

1. **Scenery:** Five-star view: Staying in a 32nd-floor sea-view room offers a direct view of Guang'anli Bridge. The view is beautiful during the day, night, and at dusk, and is similar to the view from the nearby Blue Bottle Coffee. 2. **Service:** Three-star service: Two bottles of water provided daily/cleaning every three days/no daily fresh towels provided. 3. **Facilities:** Four-star facilities: Smart room: The floor is temperature-controlled, which is a plus. The washing machine does laundry daily (bring your own detergent). There aren't enough clothes racks, and the facilities are mostly hidden, requiring you to press buttons to find them. 4. **Surroundings:** Shinsegae Department Store (5 stars), Blue Bottle Coffee (20 stars), Costco (30 stars). If you enjoy walking, you can walk along the riverbank path to Blue Bottle Coffee and Costco. Walking in the evening is particularly pleasant. Olive Young: Finally, it's not crowded! Lotte Department Store (5 stars). A good value apartment, recommended for those who don't prefer traditional hotel accommodations.
