Showa Kinen Park, a national-owned park, welcomes a beautiful scene in spring. It is our number one cherry blossom viewing spot in Tokyo, including 31 varieties of cherry blossoms in alternating blooms, 20 rapeseed fields, and more than XNUMX kinds of tulips. , many Japanese people come with mats or tents, preparing light meals and toys for their children. On this day, you can enjoy the warm spring weather in Showa Memorial Park. The children run freely on the grass, very relaxed and comfortable. Not to be missed.
How to get to Showa Memorial Park
The park is located in Tachikawa City, Tokyo, west of central Tokyo. It starts from Ueno Station (JR) and takes about 90 minutes by car. It takes about 48 minutes by car to take the Yamanote Line (JY) and transfer to the Chuo Line (JC). We were staying in Yokohama at the time. We first went to Kawasaki Station and then transferred to the JR Nanbu Line to Tachikawa Station. We got off the bus and walked for 10 minutes to the main entrance of the park. We bought a small train ticket at the door and took you directly to the destination. So there are different entrances. What's the difference in direction?
Since the area is about 165 hectares, it is equivalent to 11.7 Ueno Zoos in Tokyo. As can be seen from the picture below, there are two main entrances and exits, adjacent to Tachikawa Station and Nishi-Tachikawa Station. We have been here for two consecutive days. On the first day, we took a bus to From Nishi-Tachikawa Station, walk into the park for about 2 minutes, then rent a bicycle directly and head towards the park. The next day, I walked from Tachikawa Station to the park, and also went to 7-11 to buy light meals and drinks. Two options are provided for your reference. If you have any questions, you can leave a message at the fan club.

Go enjoy the flowers, the moon and the fragrance of autumn!
I can't help but admire Tang Bohu. Showa Memorial Park is so beautiful. There are more than 200 kinds of flowers. You can enjoy them all year round. From winter plums, spring cherry blossoms, summer iris to autumn maple, this time I came here for a large cherry blossom scene. , it is located in the center of the park. You can ride a bicycle there, or take a small train and get off nearby. You will first pass through a rapeseed field and then go inside. It is recommended to come here on a weekday. The number of tourists is not too many. Compared with Megawaguro It’s so crowded and so comfortable!
We were smarter this time and brought out the floor mats and learned to spread them on the grass. We took off our shoes and lay down, looking up at the dense clusters of cherry blossoms in the sky. From time to time, the cool breeze blew and cherry blossom petals fell. I must say that I felt relaxed and relaxed. Relieve stress, come here to be healed by the cherry blossoms, and run or sit happily with the little hamburger. Don't worry at all. Where can you find such a high-quality parent-child "paradise"? In addition, more than 25 tulips will be planted in the park at the same time. The varieties are quite diverse, and the sunshine in spring is very beautiful.
▲ Many couples came here to take wedding photos in the past two days.
▲ The park is very large, taking him along to explore the mysteries of nature.
▲ Once the floor mat is laid, we will have our own cherry blossom viewing space!
▲ At this point, Little Hamburger also loves cherry blossom viewing in the park as much as I do.
▲ The cherry blossoms are so close and so beautiful!
▲ Tulips are another article describing their beauty.
▲ This trip to Tokyo was full of cherry blossoms.
▲ A newly opened coffee shop in 2022.
▲ You really don’t have to worry even if you run hard!
Stand still for a cherry blossom!
Wendy once asked me, "Isn't it enough to go to cherry blossom viewing spots so many times?" After counting the cherry blossom viewing spots in Taiwan, Keihan and Fukuoka in Japan, Seoul and Busan in South Korea, it's really not enough! Cherry blossoms have a kind of magic to me. They are the kind that finally reveals the blue sky and warm sunshine after the cold winter. Standing under the flower trees can relieve the worries and stress of life. In addition, I have been chasing cherry blossoms and taking photos with my little hamburger since I was a child. Looking at him getting close to nature, I wish I could travel with him and Wendy to the beautiful cherry blossoms in various places for the rest of my life. My wish list also includes Washington, USA.
