Overall Review: Actual Accommodation Reviews for Seven Stories
Located a 6-minute walk from Nagoya Station, Seven Stories comprises seven floors of an eight-story building, each with a unique style and one apartment. The spacious, apartment-style rooms feature fully equipped kitchens and laundry facilities, making them suitable for families and groups traveling together for extended stays. The main drawbacks are the cumbersome automated video check-in process, the impractical design of some room amenities such as curtains and electrical outlets, and only average soundproofing. Overall, it's suitable for those who prefer apartment accommodations; those seeking traditional hotel service and a quick check-in experience should reconsider.
- Service Features and Brand Characteristics: Seven architects create an apartment story; video check-in takes a bit of effort!Seven architects each designed one floor, drawing inspiration from local Aichi craftsmanship, resulting in a unique style for each floor—like stepping into seven different homes. The facility operates unmanned; check-in is via tablet video call at the entrance, and online registration beforehand is almost mandatory. Customer service representatives are from overseas and may have accents or communication difficulties. Handling unforeseen situations, such as unregistered information, can be time-consuming. The entrance area is also stuffy and lacks air conditioning. However, contacting the hotel beforehand via email or registering information in advance makes check-in much smoother.
- Room type and equipment features: The kitchen and washing machine are fully equipped, making you feel like you're living in your own home, but the curtains and electrical outlets are a drawback! Each floor has only one unit, fully equipped with a living room, kitchen, and bedroom. A large refrigerator/freezer, electric rice cooker, oven, and all necessary pots, pans, and cutlery are provided, suitable for individual cooking or shared meals. The bathroom is spacious, and the low beds and modular mattresses are very friendly to families with young children. The vanity mirror and multiple tables are also a nice touch. However, the blackout curtains lack adjustable sheer curtains, only allowing for complete darkness or full opening. The TV is only the size of a laptop screen, the number of power outlets is limited, making charging inconvenient, the blinds are malfunctioning, and due to the building structure, footsteps from upstairs are clearly audible.
- Catering and public facilities: There is no lobby or breakfast; people rely on their own kitchens and balconies to dry clothes! The hotel does not offer breakfast or any catering services, nor does it have the traditional hotel lobby or front desk staff providing face-to-face service. Public spaces consist only of balconies with foliage plants and separate living areas on each floor. The advantages are that each room is equipped with a washing machine and dryer, and all cleaning supplies are provided, making it very convenient for long-stay or extended stays to change clothes. The bathroom drying function also helps with drying clothes. Overall, it adopts an apartment-style lifestyle rather than a traditional hotel dining and social area; those expecting on-site dining or a lounge may find the options limited.
- Transportation and surrounding environment: It's only a five-minute walk from the station to home, but I have to find a parking space myself!Located approximately a 6-minute walk from Nagoya Station, the property is close to a subway exit and surrounded by numerous convenience stores and restaurants. Shopping districts and the Nagoya Twin Towers are also within walking distance, making it easily accessible. The area remains relatively quiet after nightfall. The surrounding area consists of many adjacent high-rise buildings, and some room types have windows facing neighboring buildings, so be mindful of curtains at night. Furthermore, the property itself does not offer parking; if you are driving, you will need to find a paid parking lot nearby.
⭐Recommendation rating: ★★★★☆ (4.1/5.0)
- Recommended groups:Families, large groups traveling together, long-stay travelers, and travelers who value kitchen and washing machine functionality.
- Reasons for recommendation:The apartment-style spacious layout and fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities make it suitable for multiple people to share the room fee and prepare their own meals. Its location near Nagoya Station also makes it convenient for travel and shopping.
✅Reminders
- Video check-in requires advance preparation:Check-in is handled via automated video conferencing. Please complete the online registration and upload your identity information before booking to avoid wasting time on-site due to language barriers and procedural obstacles caused by overseas customer service.
- Room amenities vary depending on the floor:Each of the seven floors is independently designed, and the degree of light blocking by the curtains, the size of the TV, the number of electrical outlets, and the soundproofing also vary from room to room. It is recommended to confirm the equipment details of the actual floor you will be staying on before booking.
