- The roads to the Yamahara region (the northernmost part) are mostly along the coastline or mountain roads. Although the scenery is stunning and sparsely populated, the round trip by car can take more than 3 hours. Both the Daisekrin Mountain and the National Park require hiking and trekking, which can be very physically demanding for first-time visitors or families with children.
- If you don't want to spend so much time traveling, you can consider spending the third day exploring the area around Nago city. For example, you could visit Nago Pineapple Garden or DINO Dinosaur Park, and then take the highway back to Naha in the afternoon. This would make the trip more relaxed and less rushed.

Starting from Naha, our first stop northbound, we leisurely explored along Route 58.
After renting a car in Naha, roll down the window, turn on some music, and when an unobstructed expanse of stunning blue sea begins to appear on your left, it means you've entered National Route 58, Okinawa's most beautiful road trip artery, and officially entered the Onna Village area. This is the inevitable route for everyone driving north, making it the perfect first stop on your Okinawa road trip.
The most charming aspect of exploring Onna Village is the relaxed pace of "driving around," with each attraction only a 10-20 minute drive away, eliminating any fatigue from long road trips.
