Overall Review: Actual Accommodation Reviews of Noga Hotel Akihabara, Tokyo

The Noga Tokyo Akihabara is a design hotel themed around music, art, and cuisine, combining a hipster vibe with modern design. Located in the heart of Akihabara, it's a 5-minute walk from the subway station. Major drawbacks include incomplete cleaning, cooking fumes and noise from the first-floor restaurant, small rooms, and a basic gym. Overall, it's suitable for anime fans and shoppers who value quality accommodations, appreciate design, and primarily frequent Akihabara. However, those with large luggage, a preference for spacious rooms, or extremely high cleanliness standards should reconsider.

  • Service features and brand characteristics: Music and art themes permeate the space, and a young and energetic service team! Noga Hotel's brand philosophy revolves around deep connections with the local community. The Akihabara branch emphasizes three main themes: music, art, and cuisine. The front desk staff are friendly, energetic, and possess excellent English communication skills; some even speak Chinese. The hotel lobby is located on the second floor, and a pleasant fragrance greets guests upon entry, creating a well-crafted atmosphere. Upon check-in, guests are provided with gashapon tokens that can be redeemed for discount coupons at the downstairs restaurants and for a welcome drink at the bar. Disposable toiletries are available for self-service at the elevator entrance, but room cleaning can occasionally be less than thorough.
  • Room type selection and equipment features: High-quality sound system is a highlight, but space utilization needs to be carefully planned! The room space is above average for a Tokyo hotel, but the hallway becomes cramped after placing two 24-inch suitcases in the king-size bed. All rooms are equipped with high-quality Bluetooth speakers, and some rooms have gaming PCs. There are also Simmons mattresses and comfortable, supportive down pillows. The bathroom features a separate shower and shower area with strong water pressure. The toiletries from the Japanese trendy brand OSAJI are of good quality and have a pleasant fragrance. However, the bathroom walls are black and gray, making the space feel smaller when the door is closed, and the hallway exhaust fan is too loud.
  • Dining spaces and public facilities: The atmosphere of the restaurants and bars on the first floor is excellent, but the fumes and noise are a problem! The hotel's first floor houses an Italian-style restaurant and bistro, blending Spanish bar and Italian cuisine. It features a casual bar area and an open kitchen, creating a stylish and vibrant atmosphere. The freshly baked focaccia and pizza are highly recommended; even guests can make a special trip to dine there. The buffet breakfast offers five egg dishes and freshly baked bread, although the selection is limited. The second floor features a green space with a foosball table and a 24-hour gym, though the space is small and requires reservations. The hotel also offers bicycle rentals. The biggest drawback is the restaurant's strong cooking fumes and noise.
  • Transportation and surrounding environment: It is located in the heart of an electronics and animation shopping district, offering convenient amenities but it is a bit far from the station! The hotel is a 6-minute walk from the Electric Town Exit of JR Akihabara Station and a 4-minute walk from Exit 3 of Suehirocho Station on the Ginza Subway Line, offering excellent overall transportation access. Across the street is the famous Takeichi Ramen restaurant, and within a 4-minute walk are large shops such as BIC CAMERA, Don Quijote, and Matsumoto Kiyoshi Drugstore. Anime and model shops like Sofmap, Animate, and Gamers are also nearby. A FamilyMart convenience store is around the corner, and a supermarket is a 5-minute walk away. Nearby are also restaurants like Nikuno Manse and Tsuruha Drugstore near Suehirocho Station, making dining and shopping very convenient.

"We are a young couple from Taiwan, and we are leaving Tokyo today. We really loved this accommodation and wanted to leave a review for others! First of all, the location is great. It's a 3-minute walk from the subway and an 8-minute walk from the JR line. People who like Akihabara will love this place. There are FamilyMart, Lawson, drugstores, and Don Quijote within a 2-minute walk, making shopping very convenient!" What I liked most about their rooms was their spaciousness and service. The rooms were very clean, and the doors were wide enough to open fully with one suitcase and another almost fully open to 150 degrees. The amenities were excellent; there was a portable TV that could project onto a phone, and a high-end Bluetooth speaker. The soundproofing was excellent, so I couldn't hear any outside or neighboring noises. The bedding was comfortable, and the kettle, cups, safe, and other amenities were all high-end and tasteful, not just ordinary household brands. The mini-fridge had plenty of space, and the bathroom had a smart toilet and fast-flowing hot water for a comfortable wash. The front desk staff provided toiletries, face wash, and other amenities, and their service was very friendly and attentive. The meticulous daily cleaning service was also impressive; they proactively provided all the amenities. Finally, there's a popular restaurant of the same brand downstairs, which was lively and inviting in the evenings, with enticing aromas. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, highly recommended!

"The descriptions on the official website and the accommodation website are not as good as the on-site experience. We booked a few nights because we liked NOHGA's design style. The service from the second-floor counter to the first-floor dining area was excellent and they treated us with genuine care. Next time we come to Akihabara, this will definitely be our first choice. The room was very clean, and there were plenty of electrical outlets. The music was great, and the toiletries were five-star."

"The room was spacious, and although there was construction outside, they informed us in advance, so the noise wasn't too bad. Perhaps it's because of the good soundproofing. The location is fantastic, and the staff are great too. The gashapon game was also great. I would definitely stay here again."
