Comprehensive review: Actual accommodation review of Nishitetsu Croom Hotel Hakata Gion Kushida Shrine

Nishitetsu Hotel Croom is located right next to the exit of Kushida Shrine subway station, and is a 2-minute walk from Canal City Hakata. The hotel has new and complete facilities, and provides special services such as large baths, free popsicles, and tatami Japanese-style rooms. The rooms are equipped with microwave ovens and washing machines. The disadvantages are poor sound insulation, high parking fees, and small space in some rooms. Overall, it is suitable for independent travelers and parent-child families who value transportation convenience, and is also recommended for people who like Japanese-style accommodation.

  • Service features and brand characteristics: Friendly service and good English communication, housekeeping and cleaning can be improved! The hotel staff is friendly and professional, with good English communication skills and free luggage storage. There is a large bathing area on the first floor that is separate for men and women, including an outdoor hot spring area, where you can enjoy free popsicles after taking a bath. The hotel lobby is on the second floor. The space is bright and modern, and a map of Hakata is provided to indicate the location of various attractions. The amenities are self-service, and there is no need to worry about the sufficient quantity. It should be noted that the quality of housekeeping is sometimes not in place, so it is recommended to check the room condition before check-in.
  • Room selection and equipment features: Japanese tatami-style guest rooms, as well as rooms suitable for long-term stays! The hotel offers triple rooms with bunk beds, as well as quad rooms and other family rooms. The most distinctive are the Japanese-style rooms with tatami floors. Some rooms have bathtubs for bathing and TVs for watching YouTube. The beds are hard but comfortable. The long-stay rooms are fully equipped, including microwave ovens, washing machines, small dining tables and other equipment. However, the sound insulation is not good, and it is easy to hear footsteps in the corridor and the sound of doors opening. The windows of some double rooms are located in the bathroom, which affects the lighting of the room.
  • Dining space and public facilities: rich and exquisite buffet breakfast, large bath and convenient facilities! The second floor provides a breakfast dining area with a rich variety of dishes, including local specialties of Fukuoka and exquisite snacks made by the chef. The overall quality exceeds expectations, and the price of 1800 yen is quite high. There is an ice machine on the first floor and paper cups are provided, which is very considerate and convenient. The TV can display the usage status of the large bath and washing machine in real time, which is convenient for grasping the timing of using the facilities. There are three elevators in the hotel. The two on the right can directly reach the large bath area on the first floor. You need to bring your room card and bring your own towel to enter the large bath.
  • Transportation and surroundings: Next to the exit of Kushida-jinja Station, enjoy convenient living facilities! The hotel is located next to Exit 6 and 7 of the Nanakuma Line Kushida Shrine Station, and is only a 1-minute walk away. It is only one stop away from Hakata Station and is also very convenient to the Tenjin area. It is a 2-minute walk to Canal City Hakata, and there are also attractions such as Kushida Shrine and Nakagawabata Shopping Street nearby. There is a MaxValu supermarket and a drugstore open until 12 o'clock late at night near the hotel. The famous FUK COFFEE is downstairs, and there are also famous Hakata yatai nearby. The disadvantage is that the parking fee is high, and the mechanical parking space charges 2000 yen per day.

"Overall, my 3-night stay was great, and I would definitely stay here again or recommend it to friends!! Self-check-in was easy, and English was no problem. 1️⃣ Transportation 5/5: The location is excellent!! It's within walking distance of Hakata Station and Gion Station on the Airport Line. There's also the Nanai Subway Line right in front of the hotel, and there are 24-hour supermarkets, drugstores, and convenience stores nearby, which is very convenient. Canal City Hakata, Kawabata Shopping Street, Full Full Bakery, and the popular FUK cafe are all right next door. 2️⃣ Hotel Facilities 3/5: The large public bath has indoor and outdoor sections and is of medium size, but I felt the disinfectant smell was a bit strong, so I washed myself very thoroughly afterward. 3️⃣ Hotel Room 5/5: I stayed in a single room, and the room size was just right. There was room to move around with a 28-inch suitcase. The bed was a large single bed, and the firmness was medium, at least not so soft that you would sink into it. 4️⃣ Room Amenities 4/5: There was a microwave, washing machine, kettle, and induction cooker (but no cooking utensils were provided). The TV was quite large and could connect to YouTube." The Netflix connection is great, the refrigerator has separate compartments for refrigeration and freezing, and there's also a humidifier. The bedside table has charging stations and light controls – super convenient! 5️⃣ Room soundproofing 5/5: I found it quite quiet during sleeping hours. I didn't hear any noise from next door or upstairs. You could hear people talking in the hallway, but it wasn't a problem because the hallway was quiet at night. 6️⃣ Room cleanliness 5/5: If you stay in an even number of rooms or more, they clean every two days, but overall I found it very clean, considering it's a new hotel. 7️⃣ Internet speed 5/5: It didn't lag, and watching videos and transferring photos was smooth. 💡 I want to leave a message for the hotel staff here. While I was in the large public bath, a "Korean" mother brought her 5-6 year old "son" into the women's bath. This behavior is inappropriate, and two Korean mothers did the same thing. Please have the hotel staff strengthen their awareness of the gender rules for the separate baths!

"During my 7-day, 6-night trip in Fukuoka, I stayed entirely at the Nishitetsu Hotel CROOM Hakata Gion Kushida Shrine. I highly recommend it to anyone planning a solo trip, especially women! ✨ Unbeatable Location: Located midway between Hakata and Tenjin, the hotel is right next to the Kushida Shrine subway station, just a few minutes' walk away. Its convenient location between Hakata and Tenjin stations makes it easy to access bustling shopping areas or take the Shinkansen to other prefectures. 🔒 Safe and Thoughtful Facilities for Women: A card is required to access the upper floors, providing a sense of security for solo travelers. Worry-Free Luggage: The lobby has a dedicated luggage storage room and weighbridge, so even after a shopping spree on the last day, you won't have to worry about exceeding the weight limit. Relaxing Experience: The hotel features a large public bath; soaking in the bath after a long day of sightseeing is the ultimate indulgence!" 🏠 Room Unboxing: Surprisingly spacious: A 29-inch suitcase opened easily. Amenities: The room even features a washing machine and a kitchenette, perfect for extended stays. Standard Amenities: Of course, the essential Japanese hotel amenities, such as a bathtub and smart toilet, are included. 🍜 Surrounding Amenities: Super convenient for eating, drinking, and shopping. Numerous restaurants and drugstores are nearby for quick restocking. The best part is the street food stalls right next door at night – perfect for late-night snacks! 💰 Estimated Accommodation Cost (6 nights): HKD 4,592 Recommendation Rating: 🌏🌏🌏🌏

"I would give it five stars. This was my first time visiting Fukuoka, and I stayed here. It's about a 3-minute walk to Canal City, Kushida Shrine, and Kawabata Street shopping street. Hakata and Tenjin are just one stop away by train, and it's about a 15-20 minute walk either. There's a subway station right outside the hotel, which is super convenient. The rooms are very comfortable, and the housekeeping staff cleans every two days. Some rooms even have a view of airplanes, which is fantastic. The only thing to note is that Taiwanese people are quite sensitive about cemeteries. If you're very concerned about seeing a cemetery below, I suggest not booking here. There's also a large public bath on the first floor. Overall, I would give it a perfect score!"
