Comprehensive review: A review of the actual accommodation at Hotel MANDI Premium Akihabara Asakusabashi Station

The MANDA Akihabara Asakusabashi Station is located near JR Asakusabashi Station. The rooms are super large and the kitchen facilities are complete. There are also washing machines, bathtubs, microwave ovens, ovens and other appliances. The location is very close to JR and subway stations, and there is a 24-hour supermarket opposite. The disadvantage is that there is no water dispenser, so you need to buy mineral water yourself. Overall, this is very suitable for family travel, group travel, or people who want to stay for a long time to experience Japanese life.

  • Service features and brand characteristics: Self-service check-in is the most convenient, and room cleaning is provided every three days! The staff at the counter are friendly and can communicate in basic English. If you encounter any problems, they will help you with mobile phone translation. The hotel uses a password entry and exit system. You will get a password card after checking in. It is recommended to take a photo first to back it up in case of loss. If you stay for a long time, the room will be cleaned every 3 days. The garbage and bath towels can be packed and placed at the door before 12 noon. The overall environment is kept quite clean. You need to pick up the laundry powder at the counter, and you have to ask for the bath towels at the counter after you use them. The self-service mode is suitable for independent travelers.
  • Room type selection and equipment features: Complete equipment comparable to your own home, including microwave oven and washing machine! The room is really big for Tokyo, you can spread out several suitcases at the same time without feeling crowded. The premium Japanese-style six-person room has a tatami area, which can accommodate 3 mattresses and 2 single beds, making it very suitable for multiple people. The kitchen equipment includes an induction cooker, microwave, oven, electric cooker, cutlery, and even a premium BALMUDA toaster. The shower, toilet, and sink are all separate, with a deep enough bathtub for a comfortable bath, and a bidet. The washing machine is quiet and will not affect your sleep.
  • Dining space and public facilities: There is only a service counter, suitable for people who like to cook by themselves! The hotel itself does not have a restaurant, but the complete kitchen equipment allows travelers to enjoy cooking. There is a dining table in the room for dining, and the refrigerator also has a separate freezer, which is very convenient for buying ingredients and cooking. It is especially suitable for families with elders and children, because you can cook the taste you are used to, without worrying about Japanese food being too salty or raw. The TV also has a built-in Netflix, so you can log in to your account to watch TV series, but there is no water dispenser. It is recommended to buy mineral water for boiling. Tokyo tap water still has a taste when boiled, so it is more hygienic to use mineral water.
  • Transportation and surroundings: Close to JR Asakusa-bashi Station, with convenience stores and supermarkets just downstairs! The hotel is only 2 minutes away from the west exit of JR Asakusa-bashi Station and 1 minutes away from the A5 exit of the subway Asakusa Line. There are elevators at both exits, so you don't have to worry about dragging your luggage. You can take the Toei Asakusa Line directly from Narita Airport, which is super convenient without having to transfer. The hotel is located in a residential area so it is very quiet at night. There is a Lawson convenience store downstairs, and there are 2 24-hour supermarkets opposite. There are also AEON convenience stores and Matsumoto Kiyoshi drugstores nearby. There are many izakayas, yakiniku restaurants, Matsuya, Gyoza King and other restaurants around, and it is very close to Asakusa, Akihabara, and Ueno.

"I've traveled to Tokyo many times, but this is the first time I've stayed in an accommodation with a kitchen. Because I have a child with me, I was worried about the unpredictable meal times, so I chose a hotel with a kitchen. This way, I can buy high-quality ingredients at the convenience store and enjoy restaurant-level meals. Sukiyaki, hot pot, yakiniku, Japanese rice, raw eggs, Hokkaido butter, and amazing Japanese baked goods can all be transformed into our daily meals in the kitchen. Every day, I spread Hokkaido butter on a Wagyu beef sandwich and have a Hokkaido latte. I'm so happy that I spin around in the room." Amenities: Two large single beds, tatami mats that can accommodate four beds, a six-seater dining table, an IH induction cooker with two burners, a frying pan, soup pot, instant noodle pot, scissors, fruit knife, kitchen knife, wine opener, spoons, chopsticks, cutlery, forks, dessert spoons, large and small plates, ice cream bowls, a small oven, a small microwave, a freezer (sufficient space), cleaning supplies, dishcloths. Cleaning: Trash and used towels are collected daily outside the room; room cleaning times will be provided upon check-in. Amenities: Toiletries are available in the lobby. The room has separate wet and dry areas with independent doors. While the toilet is typically small in Tokyo, the bathroom is larger than usual and includes a washing machine for daily cleaning. The bathroom has a bathtub and shower; showering without standing on the bathtub is excellent and safe. Transportation: A 3-minute walk to the Asakusa Line (north-south direction) elevator is very close to the hotel; a 2-minute walk to the JR Line (east-west direction) elevator is also very close to the hotel. Supermarkets: A 24-hour supermarket is directly opposite the hotel; a 7-Eleven is within a 3-minute walk. It's near Family Market, Lawson Market, and Aeon Market. The 24-hour Life Market supermarket is an 8-minute walk away. There are many restaurants nearby; the taiyaki (Japanese fish-shaped cake) on the corner is delicious—I always buy it whenever I stay in this area.

"Monday Hotel was our home for six days in Japan. Luckily, we managed to book a hotel where we could cook our own meals, as our elders and young child really didn't like Japanese food (raw or too salty). Cooking ourselves was much more convenient, and we could also buy groceries at the supermarket across the street and experience the joy of cooking in a Japanese home. The room was fully equipped with a washer-dryer, a bathtub, two sinks, two induction cookers, knives, tableware, a microwave, an oven, and a rice cooker—it was just as convenient as home. The downside was that there was no water dispenser for hot water, so we had to buy bottled water and boil it in a pot. Even after boiling tap water, it still had a slightly odor, so buying bottled water was more hygienic and safer. We booked a superior Japanese-style six-person room. The tatami mats could accommodate three beds plus two single beds. If there were six adults staying there, one person would have to sleep on the sofa 😂 But with four adults and a one-year-old child, the space was more than enough, and we all found it very comfortable. The baby was also very happy playing around in the room." There are elevators at both the JR West Exit of Asakusabashi Station and Exit 1 of Asakusabashi Subway Station, which is very convenient. No need to worry about climbing stairs with luggage. If I have the chance again, I will definitely stay here again! P.S. Because my baby suddenly developed a fever, a taxi ride of 600 yen one way took me to the Kodenmacho Kodomo Clinic Pediatric Clinic near Kodenmacho Station. It was very close and convenient.

Located near Asakusabashi Station, it's very convenient to take the Sky Access bus directly from the airport. The hotel is just a 5-minute walk from the station exit. Nearby are popular restaurants like Matsuya, Sukiya, and Gyoza King (this one is delicious!), as well as Lawson and a 24-hour supermarket. It's incredibly convenient and well-equipped. The room has all the necessary kitchenware, pots, pans, and a refrigerator, so cooking three meals a day is no problem. There's also a convenient washer-dryer so you can bring a few clothes to change into. The shower, toilet, and sink are separate, and there's even a bathtub for a relaxing soak! Several suitcases can be opened simultaneously without any hassle. The TV has a built-in Netflix account that you can use to continue watching shows without interruption. It's absolutely perfect and highly recommended!!
