Comprehensive review: actual accommodation evaluation of Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza Tsukiji

Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza Tsukiji is a star-rated hotel of the Japanese chain brand. Its biggest feature is that each room is equipped with a three-in-one washing machine and a microwave oven, creating a function suitable for long-term stay. It is a 3-minute walk to Tsukiji Market and a 10-minute walk to Ginza shopping district. There is also a public bath that provides Japanese hot spring experience. Overall, this hotel is suitable for people who value convenient facilities, like Japanese hot spring culture, and want to travel in depth in Tsukiji and Ginza.

  • Service features and brand characteristics: Mitsui Garden brand guarantee, smart robots provide spare parts! Mitsui Garden Hotel continues the brand's consistent high service standards. The staff are warm and friendly and have good English communication skills. They provide thoughtful services from check-in to check-out. The staff will take the initiative to help guests solve various problems, including calling taxis, assisting with luggage delivery, and even helping with translation and handling air ticket issues. The hotel has introduced a smart robot delivery service that can deliver the supplies needed by guests directly to the room. There is a 2-hour free coffee bar on the 24nd floor, providing freshly brewed coffee and drinking water, so you can enjoy a leisurely coffee time at any time.
  • Room selection and equipment features: The rooms are small but comfortable, equipped with washing machines and microwaves! The design of the guest room space makes full use of every inch of space. Each room is equipped with a large-capacity refrigerator, microwave oven, and three-in-one washing machine with washing, drying and drying function. The toilet and shower room are separated, and the shower water pressure is strong and hot water is sufficient. The room provides toiletries such as bidet and wooden mouthwash cup. The bedside is equipped with a full room lighting control, which can be easily controlled while lying in bed. The TV also supports streaming services such as Netflix and YouTube. Unfortunately, the room windows are covered with a matte film, which affects the view of the landscape, and the space for placing large suitcases is also slightly insufficient.
  • Dining space and public facilities: cost-effective light breakfast, large public bath with Japanese hot spring experience! The hotel has a large bath separated by gender on the first floor of the basement, which provides an authentic Japanese hot spring experience. Most of the time, there are not many people using it. The cafe in the lobby on the first floor provides affordable breakfast and light meal sets, which are very cost-effective. The restaurant on the 14th floor provides breakfast service, which is in the form of a main course and a self-service salad bar. You can enjoy the view of Tokyo city while dining, and even the Tokyo Skytree in the distance. Although the gym equipment is not large, it is fully functional and rarely crowded. In addition to the free coffee bar, the leisure space on the 2nd floor is also a comfortable resting environment.
  • Transportation and surroundings: Close to Tsukiji Station and Higashi-Ginza Station, convenient for shopping in Ginza! The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from Higashi-Ginza Station. Exit 3 has an elevator that goes directly to the ground, making it very convenient to carry luggage. It takes only 3 minutes to walk to Tsukiji Market to enjoy the freshest seafood breakfast, and it takes only 10 minutes to reach the Ginza shopping area. There are many convenience stores and drugstores around, so daily shopping is no problem. The restaurant options range from cheap snacks to high-end cuisine. When I checked in, there was a construction project going on nearby, and there was slight noise and vibration during the day, but the hotel had good sound insulation and the impact was limited.

"It's about a 5-10 minute walk from Exit 6 of Higashi-Ginza Station. Note that there's no elevator at this exit. Alternatively, you can take the Limousine Bus from the airport to the Courtyard by Marriott Tokyo Ginza stop and walk for 10 minutes (all surface roads). The hotel uses self-service check-in, but don't worry, there will be someone to assist you throughout the process. I personally think it's a bit redundant; why not just have a counter? Honestly, there weren't many people there. The staff were very friendly, even greeting guests if they were late. As for the room, I stayed in the most expensive triangular window room. It had a washing machine, a separate refrigerator and freezer, a microwave, a bathtub, and plenty of power outlets, including a dedicated HDMI cable TV on the wall for gaming. The TV can also be connected to streaming services like YouTube." When booking, you can choose between two single beds or one double bed. The bed frame has a hollow space underneath for luggage storage, a clever and unique design. Don't worry about the bed being hard or uncomfortable; the bed itself is very comfortable. Two pillows are provided per bed, one soft and one firm. If that's not enough, you can use the TV to order a robot to bring you buckwheat pillows. The TV is quite versatile; you can check the crowd level at the public bath and order various services. You can also borrow many free items, such as nail clippers, extension cords, hair curlers, umbrellas, blankets, thermometers, scales, ice packs, luggage scales, and cutlery. The hotel also offers luggage shipping services to various destinations and airports, which is very thoughtful. However, this is an extra charge; if I remember correctly, shipping to Narita Airport costs around 2,000 yen. You don't need to rush to the front desk the night before; just drop it off at the front desk at 9 am, and your luggage will arrive at its destination by 4 pm. I wouldn't personally recommend the breakfast, as the food didn't look very appealing. Also, the Tsukiji Market is just a 5-minute walk away, and during my week-long stay, I went there every day for a cheap and plentiful seafood breakfast – it was quite unique! Anyone planning a trip might want to consider my suggestion. Finally, if you need to store your luggage before leaving, there's a dedicated luggage storage area on the first floor. It has many combination locks with ropes attached, allowing you to thread the rope through the luggage handles, set a combination, and then store your luggage temporarily until you return. It's very convenient. However, you need your room key to access this space. If you've already checked out, you can ask the front desk to open the door for you.

"A very new hotel, located at the intersection of Tsukiji and Ginza, super convenient for shopping, dining, and more! The style is a bit fresh and artsy. We stayed in a corner twin room, and the room space was quite enough for the two of us guys. There was room for suitcases under the beds, and the wardrobe was also quite large and deep. The presence of a washing machine and microwave was a big plus, which was essential for us during our eight-night stay! The room was also very quiet, without any noise. The balcony had beautiful plants, adding to the visual appeal. There was a relaxation area on the second floor with simple drinks. It was very comfortable to chat and drink there late at night. Thank you to the hotel for preparing a small anniversary gift and a carefully drawn card, it was wonderful! Thank you ❤️ My only complaint is that the pillows were too soft and too flat, making it difficult to sleep!"

"We booked two rooms, which were spacious and equipped with a washer with a dryer, microwave, and refrigerator. There was a complimentary self-service coffee bar on the first floor, as well as a lounge area for ice and water. Amenities and laundry detergent were available in the basement, and there was a large public bath for relaxation. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious; guests could choose a Western or Japanese main course, and then select other items themselves. There was a coffee shop in the lobby where you could buy light snacks. Tsukiji Market is about a 5-minute walk away, and I recommend visiting it in the morning or before noon, but be aware that it's closed on certain days. The hotel is closest to the Higashi-Ginza Station exit, making it very convenient to walk to the Ginza area. The hotel staff were polite and helpful with check-in and other inquiries; they even offered us popsicles."
