Step into Japan's most beautiful wetlands and experience a brand new mountain stay! Hoshino Resorts will launch LUCY Oze Hatomoto, the first mountain hotel under its new "LUCY" brand, in Oze National Park, Gunma Prefecture, on September 2025, 9. Designed as "the highest hotel where hiking in Oze begins," this 1-room hotel, situated at an altitude of 1591 meters, offers a complete mountain support service and is conveniently located approximately three hours from Tokyo and a one-minute walk from the Hatomoto Pass bus stop.

This mountain hotel not only maintains the Hoshinoya Resort's commitment to quality, but also offers a professionally designed environment for hiking enthusiasts. The LUCY brand upholds the core concept of "Mountain Hotels That Awesome the Soul," allowing everyone to easily connect with nature. While offering modern amenities such as Wi-Fi, power outlets, a café, and a shop, the hotel retains the traditional ambiance of mountain accommodation, providing a comfortable space for hikers to relax and unwind.

Service Features and Brand Characteristics: Hoshinoya Group pioneered a mountain hotel brand, redefining the mountain accommodation experience

LUCY is the sixth hotel brand under the Hoshinoya Group, following Hoshinoya, RISONARE, KAI, OMO, and BEB. It offers a new accommodation concept specifically designed for mountainous terrain. The brand name, inspired by renowned British mountaineer Lucy Walker, symbolizes a love of nature and a spirit of adventure. The brand logo, inspired by a woman gazing at a mountain view, embodies the perfect combination of a captivating natural experience and comfortable service.

This new brand redefines mountain accommodations, moving beyond the simple amenities of traditional mountain huts to offer modern comforts and professional mountaineering support. By operating hotels in the unique location of the mountains, the LUCY brand offers a new form of travel, allowing guests to fully experience the charm of nature. Hoshino Resorts plans to expand the LUCY brand to major mountain destinations in Japan, including renowned mountain areas such as Mt. Tateyama.

The hotel is located a one-minute walk from Hatotoge Station on the Kan-etsu Transportation Line, approximately a three-hour drive from Tokyo. Due to traffic restrictions, guests must take a shared bus from the nearby Oze Parking Lot to Hatotoge Station. While this arrangement requires a transfer, it effectively preserves the natural environment of Oze National Park.

Hatamoto Pass is the main entrance to Oze National Park, known as the gateway to Japan's most beautiful wetlands. From the hotel, guests can easily explore Oze-no-hara, Mount Tobutsu, and Mount Sugatake for day or multi-day hikes. The surrounding natural environment remains pristine, offering a unique seasonal experience: fresh greenery in spring, alpine flowers in summer, vibrant foliage in autumn, and snowy landscapes in winter, all offering a rich natural experience.
