Recommended accommodation in Pingtung｜Kenting Long Beach Leisure Hotel: overlooking the landmarks of Haikou Port

"Dear Long Beach Hotel Team: Last year, we had our New Year's Eve dinner here with our children, and it was a warm and wonderful experience. This year, we excitedly booked six days and five nights, but things changed because Agoda booked one day less. I called the front desk multiple times to confirm, and after confirming with the staff, they asked me to book one more day, and the dates were confirmed. We also confirmed the order was correct when inquiring about other matters later. However, on the day of check-in, a young woman wearing a coat coldly informed us that we couldn't stay consecutively because the dates were booked incorrectly (Friday was extended but Saturday was booked). I tried to explain and request a date adjustment, but she refused without giving me a chance. Not wanting to argue and ruin our trip during the New Year, we had to give up, resulting in our original six days and five nights becoming five days and four nights, which we are very disappointed with." New Year's Eve dinner was a huge disappointment. I called several times in advance to inquire, but the counter staff always said they didn't know and needed to check before replying. It felt like the SOP was not smooth and there was a lack of information among the staff (was it because of high turnover?). The counter clearly stated that only barbecue set meals were available, but we saw people eating hot pot, which was fine. We waited 30-40 minutes from the door, and customers who arrived later than us had already received their food. We were understanding and smiled. But when the food arrived, we were shocked: the rice and two side dishes were all cold, and there were only three plates of meat, some small fruit, and yogurt. Including the service charge, it cost 1539 yuan. We weren't full, and several tables of parents complained that it was both bad and expensive (even worse than Kenting Street). Most people ended up using the instant noodle vending machine. New Year's Eve ended with instant noodles, and the contrast was too great! The second night's buffet was much better. Although the taste wasn't very delicious, there were many choices and we were full. If New Year's Eve could be like this, it would be perfect 🥹 It's okay to be a little expensive, as long as it makes people feel full! Overall, the hotel staff were mostly friendly and welcoming, always smiling, and very caring towards children. Room service was quick and efficient, with a delightful surprise of folded towels. The muddy showerhead in the bathroom was promptly cleaned, ensuring our family's enjoyment during the Lunar New Year. However, the two points mentioned above fell short of our expectations. We hope to improve the order confirmation process, the efficiency of dinner service, and the quality of the food. We originally planned to stay longer each Lunar New Year, and we hope your hotel will improve so we can regain our confidence! Thank you for listening, and best wishes for your continued success!

"Our family of five had lunch at this restaurant. We each ordered two chicken set meals, two fish set meals, and one beef set meal. A rough calculation showed that with less than 4% occupancy, we had to wait nearly 30 minutes to enjoy our two chicken set meals, one fish set meal, and one beef set meal. When we finally ate, the fish was lukewarm, the chicken and beef were completely cold, and the beef was so tough it was like they'd given us Yuan Dynasty braised beef. We asked and urged them many times about the missing fish, but no one informed us. When we asked, the staff just said, 'I'll go check.' They really just 'check,' without telling us if the food was ready. We even had to use our own food to make up a portion for the person who hadn't eaten. Finally, we finished eating, and the fish still hadn't arrived. We couldn't take it anymore and said we wanted to cancel, and only then did a fish appear for us. From ordering to the last fish arriving, it took almost 45 minutes." When we were leaving, they explained that it was "a problem with the kitchen, and that they needed to prioritize customers who wanted to order later." They couldn't even handle the communication process properly; any explanation they gave was just a cover-up. I also saw significant risks and vulnerabilities in the restaurant, so I will never go back, nor will I recommend it to anyone.

Check-in Dates: February 28, 2026 – March 1, 2026 Occupants: Two adults and one child (two years old) This was a spontaneous short trip, but the overall experience was surprisingly amazing. The advantages of the dome house are well-deserved, so I won't elaborate. The accommodation itself was fairly standard, but it had all the thoughtful amenities you'd expect, such as a crib, sterilizer, and baby bathtub, which was very convenient for a family with a two-year-old. The breakfast wasn't as bad as some online reviews suggested; in fact, it was more plentiful than expected, and the ingredients were fresh. Of course, I wouldn't compare it to a luxury hotel, but at this price, I think you get what you pay for, and the overall service and quality were very satisfactory. A small incident occurred during our stay. Our child suddenly fell ill in the middle of the night and needed to go to the emergency room. The doctor on duty at 4 AM was incredibly helpful, offering advice and assistance. Even after we returned from the appointment, he kindly inquired about our child's condition. The next morning, Ms. Dong at the front desk also provided thoughtful assistance. For parents on the journey of raising children, such warmth and support are truly invaluable, and this was one of the most encouraging experiences we've had so far. We sincerely thank the hotel team for their thoughtfulness and kindness; thank you for making this trip so much warmer.
