Le Méridien Taichung was formerly known as the Sands Department Store completed in 1998. It has 6 floors underground and 27 floors above ground. After being renamed and operated by Sands Leisure Shopping Center and Shenjian Building, it is now planned to provide 228 rooms and suites.
