To sum it up simply: although the room is small, the decor and furnishings are very relaxing and comfortable. Plus, the bathroom has a bathtub, which instantly relieves the fatigue of a long day of traveling. If you're traveling independently and will be spending most of your time shopping, eating, and visiting attractions, this hotel is perfect for you. It's close to Susukino and Odori stations (about a 15-minute walk), and because it's located at Tanukikoji 7, it's very quiet at night. There are three washing machines with washer-dryer functions at the back exit of the hotel on the 1st floor. Washing and drying about 3KG of clothes costs only 500 yen and takes about 2 hours. Of course, you can also choose to wash or dry only. It is recommended to wash clothes early in the morning or in the middle of the night, because if you go to wash clothes between 9 and 11 pm, it is difficult to get a turn (I got up at 24 am to go downstairs to wash and dry, went back to my room to continue sleeping, and got up at 24 am to go downstairs to get my clothes). If you are staying for multiple days and want the hotel room service to clean, remember to put the cleaning sign on the room door on the outside of the door, otherwise no one will come to clean and they will just hang the bath towels and hand towels outside the door. If you want the hotel room service to change the sheets, there is a change sign in the room. You need to put the change sign on the bed for someone to change the sheets. Here's a simple shopping guide for the surrounding area: If you like plush toys and cartoon accessories, you can visit Suruga-ya and Mandaraka in the nearby NORBESA building. The NORBESA building is between Tanukikoji 4 and 5. If you're coming from Tanukikoji 5 to Tanukikoji 4, walk on the right and you'll see the building with the Ferris wheel. Both Suruga-ya and Mandaraka (まんだらけ札緣店) sell a large number of anime plush toys. Suruga-ya is on the 1st and 3rd floors, and Mandaraka is on the 2nd floor. Both the 2nd and 3rd floors are open until 11 pm. You can shop outside during the day and then go treasure hunting at Suruga-ya and Mandaraka in the evening (Suruga-ya and Mandaraka have many second-hand toys to buy, many of which are very cheap). If you need to catch your flight on the last day, you can take the shuttle bus to New Chitose Airport between Tanukikoji 6 and 5. The bus stop is S32 (turn left when coming from Tanukikoji 6 to Tanukikoji 5, HOTEL ABEST). (Across the street), the shuttle bus does not accept IC cards; it costs 1300 yen per person in cash. I remember the ride to the airport took a little over an hour, and New Chitose Airport is a great place to shop; you could easily spend 3-5 hours there. So, it's a good idea to get to the airport early to shop. There are two Don Quijote stores on Tanukikoji Street, one of which is the MEGA Tanukikoji Main Store (a total of five floors). There is a Daiso store on Tanukikoji 2, and another Daiso store is located one block away on the left. Personally, I think the one on Tanukikoji 2 is less crowded and easier to shop at. The other one, which is not on Tanukikoji Street, has more items but is also more crowded. If you have plenty of time, you can visit both stores.

Overall, the hotel is comfortable, clean, and reasonably priced. The large bookshelf on the first floor has a great artsy vibe, and the housekeeping service is proactive and convenient. Although it's located a bit far from Tanukikoji 7-chome, it's away from the tourist crowds, and the presence of Akahoshi Ramen and a famous Italian gelato shop right across the street is a big plus. There's also an Aeon supermarket nearby where you can buy strawberries, apples, and other snacks. Furthermore, there's a bus directly connecting Hotel ABEST in Roku-chome to New Chitose Airport – another plus!

The first floor is a coffee shop. To check in, there's a dedicated hotel service window near the back counter. Further in, you'll find the elevator to the rooms upstairs. The rooms aren't large. I only had carry-on luggage, so I chose a king-size bed room. If you have a large suitcase (not carry-on), the room space is quite small; it can feel cramped when you unfold your luggage. However, for shopping, the hotel's location is fantastic! The soundproofing is good, hot water comes on quickly, the bed is comfortable, and the bathroom is spacious. There's a light switch and power outlet control panel on the headboard. I woke up to find the light on; apparently, you can accidentally turn on the light without realizing it while you're asleep 😂

🍵Room Performance: The hotel room was very clean! There was hardly any dust, and the overall tidiness was excellent. Although the room wasn't large, the bathroom was spacious, perfect for a comfortable bath at night! 🍵Location: Located near the Tenjin shopping district, it's a short walk from the station, but it's a great place to stroll and shop! 🍵Soundproofing: Other guests mentioned soundproofing, but after several days, I found it to be fine and not too disruptive! 🍵There's a cafe downstairs, almost always full, a very cozy and comfortable cafe! 🌟Overall, because the environment was so clean, I didn't feel uncomfortable at all. I would definitely recommend it to my friends next time!

The room was spacious and functional, the hotel staff were friendly, and the location was a four-minute elevator ride from Exit 10 of Fushimi Station 👍 Hotel prices in Nagoya are not cheap; for the same price, you could only get a 14m² single room near Nagoya Station, but here you can get an 18m² twin room with a separate shower and toilet, which is really great. This time we chose the largest twin room, with excellent natural light from the two windows. The space wasn't large, but it was convenient to use; a 20-inch suitcase could be placed next to the floor-to-ceiling window. The walls were well soundproofed; you couldn't hear noise from the next room, but noise outside the door was more noticeable. The toilet was comfortable to use, without any smoky smell. The equipment wasn't new, but it was all clean. The bidet toilet's warm water system was a bit strange; there was a half-second of cold water. The shower hot water had a preset lock at 38 degrees Celsius; you could turn it on by pressing a button. The housekeeping staff did a great job—I didn't ask them to make the sheets, but they cleaned the room very well every day, even arranging the slippers. I recommend ordering breakfast; it's not expensive, and you can eat in the cafe on the first floor or in your room. It's great to be able to have breakfast without leaving the room in winter. The breakfast set includes two mini burgers and a breakfast drink. The mini burger flavors change daily, and if one item is unavailable, you can ask if they still have any. These past few days I've had cheese tuna, tomato shrimp, seasonal fruit, soft-boiled egg burger patty, baked shrimp, and teriyaki chicken. The staff at the counter will help heat them up. The flavors are different every day, and they've all been quite good. Located next to Fushimi Station, within a 10-minute walk, it's within easy reach of Nagoya Station and the Sakae shopping district. Plus, Fushimi Station is a major transportation hub, making it very convenient. If I come to Nagoya again, I'll definitely stay here again! 🥰

Before my trip, I frantically searched for accommodations and found a hotel with a 24-hour library concept, which I booked instantly! It's a 3-4 minute walk from Fushimi Station on the Nagoya Higashiyama Line, making it very convenient for commuting to and from many places. If you enjoy walking, you can easily walk to places like Sakae Station, Nagoya Station, Tsubame Bread and Milk, and Coffee House Kako (コーヒーハウスかこ花車本店), making it easy to experience Nagoya's breakfast culture. There are also several convenience stores outside the hotel, so you can buy groceries anytime in the evening. The room was very clean; I only had it cleaned once in five nights, but they provided fresh towels daily. I didn't order breakfast because there are so many good restaurants nearby, and there's a washing machine on the first floor. If you need to move your luggage, you can ask the hotel to help you the night before. For the return trip, it's about a 2-minute walk to the airport bus stop, so you don't have to carry large luggage and can easily reach the airport! 📍 Lamp Light Books Hotel ランプライトブックスホテルNagoya
