The maple viewing route starts from Kiyomizu-Zaka and passes through Sannen-Zaka and Ninn-Zaka, admiring the unique stone streets. Then continue walking through Onenzaka, turning onto the quiet stone path, visiting Kodaiji Temple and Entokuin Temple along the way, and finally arriving at the familiar Maruyama Park and Yasaka Shrine. There are local residents on both sides of the Shijie path, and speaking softly is a sign of respect for them. You can arrange a one-day trip from Kyoto Station to Higashiyama District to enjoy the autumn leaves. Take city bus route 206, get off at Higashiyama Yasui Station, and walk to Shiji Trail to start exploring. This alley shows a strong Japanese style with various machiya houses and stone streets. Many advertising scenes have been shot here, making it one of the must-visit attractions for tourists.
In 2015, I took a leisurely stroll along this path based on the map, and found that there were all kinds of red leaves planted in the alleys, and I could immerse myself in the tranquility and charming atmosphere of the autumn night. Strolling through this beautiful scenery, you will feel the unique cultural charm and natural beauty of Dongshan District.
