"I spent four days and three nights at the Beihai Hot Spring InterContinental Hotel, mainly for the hot springs. It's a newly opened InterContinental, so I wanted to experience it. The room facilities were quite good: 1. I was amazed by the hot spring pool as soon as I opened the door. The pool was large and comfortable; a family of four could soak without feeling crowded. The floor material dried quickly, so there was little worry about slipping. 2. The bathroom facilities and layout were excellent; the two sinks and bidet toilet were very convenient to use. 3. The automatic water dispenser in the room was a good design, convenient for preparing baby formula. 4. The bed was wide and the firmness was just right, quite comfortable. 5. The TV was large and the picture quality was excellent. 6. The soundproofing was very good. Minor shortcomings: 1. No clothing bag was provided; they said it hadn't been printed yet… 2." The room provided a changing table, which I initially thought was thoughtful, but it wasn't changed… The only redeeming feature was the trash can. The hotel's overall design, as other reviewers have mentioned, is commendable, so I won't elaborate. However, some exterior walls and stone sculptures were covered in moss, and the stainless steel art installations outside the restaurant showed signs of rust, which was a minor drawback. Restaurant/Food: The all-day dining restaurant is open until 2 PM, with flexible hours. The seafood dishes were particularly noteworthy. The bread, other meats, cold dishes, fried foods, vegetables, drinks, and cakes were average—not bad, but for an InterContinental hotel, there's room for improvement; they should offer very high-quality, refined dishes. However, it's worth mentioning that… The ingredients for breakfast, lunch, and dinner were exactly the same for the past three days… I was really tired of it… There were two or three set menus that should be standard for InterContinental hotels. The infinity pool was fantastic! The heated pool on the upper floors was great; on a nice day, even toddlers could swim without worrying about them catching a cold. There were also stunning mountain views. The lifeguards were very helpful; they even took photos of the infinity pool for us and offered to wrap our child in a large towel. The children's playroom/Beihai Little Expert is a great place to play with kids. It can basically satisfy both young and older children. Although the space isn't large, it's good for them to burn off energy. The facilities are designed with children's safety in mind; the floor in the slide and play area is specially designed to be soft. The nude hot spring is probably the biggest selling point of the Beihai InterContinental, but I can't share it. The hot spring hours are 9:00-12:00 and 13:00-19:00. The closing time was far too early; it was completely unusable after dinner. This is a real problem for families with children, as they finally have some free time after a busy day, and then they can't relax. We finally found an opportunity to experience the nude bath early in the morning, but when we arrived at the counter at 9 am sharp, there was no one there. We waited for five minutes, but still no staff appeared. The sign indicated the opening hours were correct. It was only after a family member stayed in the room and called the front desk that they were told the men's and women's nude baths were temporarily closed for an environmental inspection… This was a very bad experience… It wasn't mentioned beforehand, there was no sign on the floor, and none of the staff we encountered in the lobby… When we checked out and complained to the receptionist, she only said: "It just so happens that it's closed for inspection today, but at least you can still enjoy a nice bath in your room…" This response is not up to the standards of an InterContinental Hotel; it shows a lack of empathy. We had been enjoying the bath in our room the whole time, and finally found a chance to use the nude bath… We were very disappointed. And the facility was closed without any warning. Furthermore, having served as an InterContinental ambassador for many years, this is the first time we've encountered a situation where we couldn't get an upgrade. Overall, this is an InterContinental hotel with excellent facilities, but its services could be improved.

"Having actually stayed one night at the InterContinental Taipei Beihai Hot Spring Hotel, my overall impression is that it's a 'new hotel with very strong facilities, but still in its adjustment period.' This hotel is currently the only InterContinental brand hotel in northern Taiwan, about a 50-minute to 1-hour drive from downtown Taipei, making it quite convenient for those wanting a short vacation without traveling too far. This time, I was upgraded to a balcony suite of approximately 90 square meters. The room was very well-equipped, with a large entryway, comfortable living room and bedroom sizes, and two balconies (one large and one small), giving it a very resort-like feel. The bed's firmness, pillows, and soundproofing were all above average, resulting in a good night's sleep. Regarding the public facilities, the men's bath and gym were particularly impressive. The gym had the most comprehensive range of equipment I've ever seen at an InterContinental hotel, a huge plus for those who exercise regularly." During my stay, the executive lounge was not yet open, so the hotel compensated me by offering a semi-buffet dinner at the "Island" restaurant on the first floor. The dinner featured seafood from the North Coast, including shrimp, crab, and scallops, all quite fresh. Unlimited wine was also available, and the meal was more generous than I expected. Breakfast was also served at the Island restaurant, from 8 am to 2 pm, which is quite rare and allowed for more flexibility in planning the next day's itinerary, without the hassle of rushing or worrying about traffic. The only drawback was that the hot spring water in my room was quite cold; even with the hot water turned up, it was difficult to get it to flow, a difference from the experience of my travel companions in other room types. I suspect this might be related to the room's location. Additionally, the public bath area still has room for improvement in some details of maintenance and safety design. Overall, considering this is a new hotel that has only been open for 1-2 months and is still in a period of adjustment, these issues are understandable. In conclusion, this is a hotel with great potential. If the price is right and expectations are set correctly, the stay will be very comfortable. I look forward to returning for a more complete experience once operations are more mature. "

"I stayed one night from the third to the fourth day of the Lunar New Year, and I'm very grateful for the service from all the hotel staff. Upon arrival at the parking lot, staff guided me to the check-in counter, and while waiting, hotel staff introduced the hotel facilities. During the New Year period, the hotel offered many activities, including calligraphy, flower arranging, fortune telling, manicures, and film screenings. I was lucky enough to get a manicure. I hope there will be other hotel activities available on weekdays. The room was spacious, comfortable, and bright. The hot spring pool filled up quickly; the housekeeping staff worked very hard, as there were many areas that needed cleaning. The room had a convenient hot and cold water dispenser, which was both thoughtful and environmentally friendly. There was indeed a dehumidifier in the room, which I turned off after it was full, and the room remained relatively dry without any musty smell. I want to especially mention the bed, which was very comfortable (in my opinion). It's one of the few mattresses that doesn't cause back pain when I wake up. Unfortunately, I used express check-out and forgot to ask which company provided the mattress. During dinner, I met Silvia, whom I had afternoon tea at "Chao" before the Lunar New Year. I wrote a compliment at that time." I emailed Silvia for her thoughtful service, but I haven't received a reply from the hotel, so I'm not sure if the message was actually conveyed. I'm reiterating it here through a Google review. Thank you for maintaining your smiling and friendly service amidst the busy New Year period. When booking, I opted to add access to the executive lounge, but since it wasn't open yet, I was given a two-person evening buffet and a welcome drink voucher instead, which was also a thoughtful touch from the hotel. I didn't use the bathtub, but I happily enjoyed a bottle of fresh milk from a large ranch. I also really loved the courtyard pond landscaping; strolling slowly along the path, watching the pond and its reflection, was very relaxing.
