The north wing rooms are the first in the Imperial Hotel brand to incorporate a tatami-style design, allowing the room's atmosphere to echo the surrounding teahouse scenery. In addition, the rooms in the main building heritage area have specially preserved the pillars and window frames from the Yasaka Kaikan era, presenting a unique retro and elegant charm.

The Imperial Hotel Kyoto's guest rooms showcase exquisite craftsmanship throughout, with top-of-the-line bathrooms and minibars. The rooms feature warm color schemes and large floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views of Kyoto's townhouses or Higashiyama Hills. Some rooms also include private balconies. The most luxurious Imperial Suite, spanning 200 square meters, offers unparalleled luxury and spaciousness. (🔎Booking prices and reviews:)agoda|booking.com|Trip|klook)

"I recently dined at the Imperial Hotel, which just opened in March 2026. I was particularly impressed by Chef Imajo's French restaurant, REN, whose cuisine truly showcased the natural flavors of the ingredients. I've been to many Michelin three-star French restaurants, but they often focus too much on creativity, resulting in sauces that are too rich or completely mask the natural freshness of the ingredients. However, this French restaurant was quite different; the ingredients were simply delicious, allowing you to savor their inherent flavors. The fusion of French cuisine with the richness of Japanese ingredients made for a truly wonderful dinner. The dishes were plated in front of us, drizzled with sauce, and served with freshly baked bread. Although a full set meal usually takes 2.5 to 3 hours, it felt like the time flew by. The service was excellent, and I truly felt the warm hospitality of the Imperial Hotel. Thank you."

"I stopped by this hotel on my way back to Tokyo from Osaka because it's scheduled to open on March 5, 2026. The hotel is a renovated version of the Yasaka Kaikan, located next to the High School Musical Theater in Gion's Hanamikoji area. The Yasaka Kaikan is a nationally registered tangible cultural heritage site. I've visited there frequently since construction began, so I was really looking forward to it. The hotel was indeed magnificent, just as I expected, and I was able to take a short look around. The atmosphere was peaceful and serene, and most importantly, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me exclaim, 'This is the standard an Imperial Hotel should be!' I originally only planned to visit that day, but my short stay was so comfortable that I had a light meal at the restaurant and bought a traditional mini blueberry pie as a souvenir from the pastry shop. Haha, I'll definitely stay here again!"
