It's about a 6-minute walk to the BTS (how to get there?). Walk into the Park Ventures office building, walk straight ahead to the 7-Eleven, take the escalator to the second floor, and you'll directly reach the BTS. The breakfast restaurant had a strong smell of cooking oil in the egg-frying area; it needs improvement. 😅 Today's special was the Eggs Benedict bread, which was cold; could it be heated up? 🥹 The Eggs Benedict itself was also cold, probably because it had been made for a while. You can choose between smoked salmon and ham. The basil pork was also quite good. My husband got bitten by a bug in the room, and I got bitten by a mosquito in the breakfast area.

As an IHG member, I was notified in advance of a room upgrade. There was also a handwritten card from hotel staff in the room after check-in. The front desk staff were very friendly. The accommodation was spacious, clean, and bright. Room service was excellent; I found water replenishment and simple cleaning every day when I returned. The surrounding area is very lively, and the 24-hour Don Quijote is right across the street, which is very convenient. Although it's a short walk from the subway station, it's perfectly acceptable. I was very satisfied with this stay!

Room type: Deluxe Twin Room with bathtub (can accommodate 3 people). The location is superb and convenient. The room is spacious, comfortable and clean. The toilet has a separate space with a shower and bathtub. The bathroom space is also very large. Overall, I am very satisfied. The decoration is very novel and British style. The bright room is a big plus. The price-performance ratio is quite high. However, there is no airport shuttle bus. I will still choose to stay here when I come to Shibuya again. Highly recommended.

Hotel Indigo Inuyama Urakuen Garden, an IHG Hotel By IHG
On November 15th, during my 2025 Hokuriku autumn foliage viewing trip, I stayed at this stylish hotel in Inuyama City. The hotel's environment was absolutely stunning; the driveway to the lobby was breathtaking. The lobby had a wonderfully pleasant and relaxing scent, which was incredibly soothing for someone like me who appreciates fragrances. I even bought some scented candles from the hotel (laughs). The pool outside the lobby offered a view of Inuyama Castle, a truly breathtaking sight. The room design was unique and beautiful, but it was rather small. There was only one chair, and since we booked a double room with two single beds, one person had to sit on the bed, otherwise we would have to bring out the shower chair from the bathroom. There was also some space to put our two 29-inch suitcases. Breakfast was semi-buffet style, requiring you to choose between Japanese or Western breakfast. Salads, bread, fruit, and drinks were all buffet style, with a limited but tasteful selection. It seemed that if you weren't satisfied with the set meal, you could ask the staff for refills, possibly including rice or similar items. Next door is the National Treasure Tea House and the Joyful Garden, which can be visited free of charge (please remember to bring your room card). This garden is absolutely gorgeous! It's perfect for strolling around and taking some beautiful photos. With some maple leaves turning red or changing color, it's even more picturesque.

Hotel Indigo Inuyama Urakuen was built on the site of the former Meitetsu Inuyama Hotel and opened in 2022, after the COVID-19 pandemic. Upon entering the hotel lobby, Inuyama Castle is visible on the hillside. Next to the hotel is Jo-An, a tea room built by the tea master Oda Urakusai. Designated a "Former National Treasure" in 1936, it holds a very high position in the history of tea ceremony culture and is considered one of the three existing "National Treasure Tea Ceremony Seating Sets." In 1972, Jo-An was moved to the east side of Inuyama Castle and renovated into the Japanese garden "Urakuen Garden," aiming to recreate its Kyoto-era garden aesthetic as much as possible. Guests can visit Urakuen Garden for free with their room key card. Breakfast is served in the restaurant on the first floor, offering a choice of Japanese or American main courses, accompanied by a semi-buffet bar. The guest rooms are in an American hotel style, larger and more comfortable than those in a Japanese hotel. The hotel is also quite new and worth staying at.

A fantastic hotel experience! Very comfortable, and the staff speaks multiple languages, so communication is no problem!! **Note‼️:** If you have luggage, do not trust the walking route on Google Maps; it's a very primitive mountain road, unsuitable for carrying luggage. The room is spacious, and the riverside location offers excellent privacy. There are convenience stores nearby, and an evening stroll along the river is incredibly pleasant with stunning views. The hotel provides a free shuttle bus to and from Gora Station from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. You can contact the hotel via WhatsApp or phone. A Toyota Alphard 18-seater is available for pick-up and drop-off; there may be a slight wait if there are many people. The hotel also has a shuttle bus to and from Odawara Station, which is very convenient!

I initially planned to choose the Hyatt Hotel in Gora, but after learning that it didn't have a private onsen (hot spring), I decided to try this new one. It has an onsen pool on your own balcony! Soaking in the onsen in the cool, sub-10°C evening air was so relaxing! - Transportation: Initially, there's a bus shuttle from Odawara Station to the hotel. The hotel also has a small shuttle to Gora Station, but it seems to only run until 5 PM, so you'll basically have to take a taxi back! I strongly advise against walking to Gora Station! It's a hilly road with no sidewalks, so you might get hit by a car. - Aside from the incredibly comfortable onsen, there's not much else to say about this place… Back in late March, a night there cost around 130,000 yen, which was quite exorbitant!!

📍 Visited 2025/12/16 / 2 people / 2 nights ________________________________________________________________________________ 🏠 Personal Accommodation Review 1. Location➡️ Not far from the station by car, and there's a shuttle bus available. 2. Soundproofing➡️ You can't hear much outside noise from the room. 3. Room Space➡️ The room is very spacious; two suitcases can be laid out comfortably. There's also a spacious balcony! 4. Toilet➡️ The overall space is very spacious and comfortable, and there's a bathtub. 5. Bed➡️ The bed is of medium firmness, and there are two pillows to choose from. I slept very well all night. 6. Hot Spring Area➡️ It gets a bit chaotic when it's crowded; there's no basic control, and you'll see people bringing in large towels. I recommend going during less crowded times for a better relaxing experience. 🙌 Service & Atmosphere: At check-in, the front desk staff will arrange to take your luggage to your room; you don't need to push it yourself. There's also a wood-burning fire in the lobby, creating a very warm atmosphere, and welcome drinks are available. __________________ 💡 Other Observations: - Bottled water is available in the rooms. Water dispensers are available on each floor. - There are plenty of parking spaces. _________________ ⚖️ Overall Review: • Pros: Overall, the stay was very comfortable. • Cons: The hot spring area was chaotic during peak hours.

The large fireplace in the lobby immediately drew me in—warm and spectacular. Thoughtful design elements were evident throughout the hotel, creating a tranquil and elegant environment with distinct atmospheres for day and night. On my second night, we were fortunate enough to witness snowfall; the view under the hotel's architecture and lights was unforgettable! While the buffet breakfast selection wasn't extensive, it was exquisite, delicious, and healthy—I highly recommend trying it at least once. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly. A Japanese staff member in the lobby, who spoke some Chinese, kindly explained how to take the shuttle bus and transfer to the bus, even printing out bus timetables and highlighting them with a highlighter. A Chinese-speaking staff member in the restaurant provided warm and helpful service and explanations—truly heartwarming! This stay at the Indigo Hotel left me with wonderful memories, and I'll definitely stay there again next time I'm in Karuizawa.

Located near a historical site in the Minamiyamazaka area, this hotel opened at the end of last year. The staff were impeccable, incredibly attentive and helpful. The rooms maintain Indigo's signature trendy design and offer beautiful views of Nagasaki Port. It's perfect for those seeking an elegant cultural experience or a tranquil suburban getaway. It would be ideal for escaping the summer heat.
