"I booked a two-day vacation at the Alishan Indigo Hotel during the 228 holiday. It's been a long time since I've been to Alishan, so I made a special trip to stay there. Because I was worried about traffic, I took the High Speed ​​Rail and then the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle bus to the hotel, which was very convenient. Since we arrived at the hotel at 11:30 AM to book the 13:00 PM shuttle bus to Fenqi Lake, which was very convenient, I first went for a walk on the "Longyinshan Trail" next to the hotel. It's a very pleasant place, and the trail is easy to walk; you can walk back to the hotel in about an hour. We went straight to Fenqi Lake and returned to the hotel at 4:00 PM. Entering the room, we were pleasantly surprised to find the hotel had thoughtfully prepared anniversary cakes, balloons, and a welcome gift – truly wonderful! Best of all, the hotel provided instant cameras that could print ten photos at once, which we took to capture our wonderful memories. The rooftop infinity pool was beautiful, but unfortunately, it rained during the 228 holiday, so the weather wasn't great. Happy afternoon though! During the hour, you can go to the restaurant for snacks and drinks, and there's also free unlimited popsicles. We didn't book dinner at the restaurant that evening, but we were told there was a Li tribe cultural dance performance we could watch. The half-hour performance was great, and everyone was very enthusiastic about taking photos and interacting with the audience. Breakfast was plentiful and the food was fresh. There were some indigenous dishes like oatmeal porridge to try, and freshly cooked noodles too; we were quite full. The next day it was still raining ☔️, but we still wanted to go for a walk. We borrowed a charity umbrella from the hotel and walked to the right of the hotel. You'll see a 7-Eleven convenience store. Across the street and downhill, you can reach the "Longding Trail," about a 15-minute walk to the mountain platform viewpoint, which is very relaxing. Back at the hotel, we had to stay because of the rain. 😊 Overall, the hotel room was a small, open-plan suite with a stylish design. The electric curtains were great, and the bathtub 🛁 was very comfortable. They provided a rubber duck, bath tea bags, and face masks. The bed was very comfortable and easy to sleep in. You could see the mountain view and sunrise from the bed, but unfortunately, it was raining, so we didn't see it. 😊Service Staff: All staff members, from the lobby, counter, restaurant, rooftop bar, and pool area, were very friendly and provided excellent service with smiles. 😊The downside is that there's not much to do on rainy days, and the hotel facilities are relatively limited. Besides the pool, there's not much to do for fitness. It would be a shame to have more indoor activities, and there's no lounge or sofa area where you can relax with magazines, newspapers, or books. ❤️Thank you to the manager for the handwritten card, which was very thoughtful, and to the hotel for the small greeting card. "After a year and a half, I revisited Alishan. This time, I joined a tour group with my family and stayed at the Alishan Indigo Hotel on February 25th, my first time staying there. From the lobby to the room, the design and decor were stunning, perfect for taking photos. The R-floor has an infinity pool and hot tub with unparalleled mountain views, definitely a great spot for photos. The R-floor is also a good place to watch the sunrise and sunset. (It's a slight disappointment that the wading pool isn't a swimming pool, preventing those who really want to swim from relaxing.) On the morning of February 26th, after breakfast, we had some time before our tour bus departure, so we went back to the R-floor to enjoy the view. There weren't many people there; just my husband, two other friends, and a 'gardener' in work clothes—Sam (Mr. Wang)—who was diligently working at his post and also kindly helping us take photos." The young photographer's work was a delightful surprise, rivaling even professional photographers. Knowing that February 22nd would be our 50th anniversary, he specially took some wedding-style photos for us, which deeply moved us. "Having stayed in all sorts of guesthouses, motels, hotels, and restaurants, this is currently my number one!!! Even if it's a long way, I will definitely come back! Ambiance 120/100, food 160/100, service 200/100! As soon as we arrived at the hotel reception, the staff asked if our trip up the mountain went smoothly. They then told us that although the weather was foggy, we could go to the rooftop together the next morning to watch the sunrise. They even prepared small bread rolls and hot cocoa. The dinner was so extravagant, it felt like a ten-star hotel! They even had king crab and all kinds of fresh seafood. I heard the chef is Italian, and the food was delicious! We were originally going to go to the bar for a drink before returning to our room, but the bartender was very friendly and chatted with us.
