After completing our daytime itinerary on the 8th day of our Hokkaido road trip, we arrived at our hotel around 7 PM. We booked this hotel after referring to Google Maps; the name is Hotel Enoe Hakodate. I stayed at Hotel Enoe Hakodate in October 2025. The entire hotel was very new, and the staff were all very warm and polite. There was even a staff member who accompanied me to the parking lot across the street. They were all very friendly and courteous throughout the journey. The room I booked was 22 square feet, which was just the right size and not cramped at all. There was plenty of space even if I had two large suitcases. The room cost NT$2023 per night, excluding breakfast. I didn't book breakfast because it was about a 10-minute walk from the hotel. There was a Japanese chain breakfast shop called Komida Coffee, which we wanted to try. Near Komida Coffee, there was also Kanemori Warehouse, the Hakodate Warehouse Complex, the main store of the seafood market, and Starbucks, all located near the pier. It was also about a 10-minute walk to the Hakodate Ropeway station. However, around 9 pm that night, we drove up the mountain to see the night view. There weren't many tourists, so we drove directly up the mountain. There were still plenty of parking spaces available for free, but it was a bit chilly. In addition, there were Roman Catholic and Russian Orthodox churches, as well as the Sakamoto Ryoma Memorial Hall and Happy Clown Burger, all nearby. You could walk around and take pictures! Drinks are available in the first-floor lounge area from afternoon to evening, making this restaurant quite good value for money.

I stumbled upon this hotel by chance, and it was so beautiful, with drinks and breakfast included, for less than 15000 yen per night for two people! Of course, I decided to give it a try. It's less than a three-minute walk from Hakodate Station by tram, four stops to Horaicho, and five minutes from Jujigai Station. The hotel area is quiet, but you can easily walk to Motomachi or the cable car station. The hotel lobby is truly beautiful. From 3 pm to 10 pm, the first-floor lounge offers all-you-can-drink sake, red and white wine, and juice. The beautiful setting and atmosphere must have attracted many guests for drinks and conversation. As for the room, the 15-square-meter semi-double room was spacious enough, but the stunning floor-to-ceiling window couldn't be opened at all. The staff said all the windows in the hotel were closed, which was quite disappointing. Also, in this northern city, the air conditioning in the room only provided cooling; I won't complain about that. The breakfast was wonderful; the variety and freshness of the dishes were delightful, and everything was delicious. Unfortunately, they didn't have soup curry today.

October 4-12, 2025: I visited Toyama Prefecture and stayed at this hotel for one night on October 11 (the last day of my trip). Before returning the car, I temporarily parked it in the parking lot behind the hotel's main entrance, but it wasn't a partner parking lot. Since it was only a short stay, I paid the normal parking fee, but I think guests driving and planning to stay overnight should confirm in advance. It would be better if the hotel could provide more detailed information on its website. The reception is on the second floor, open from 3 pm to 10 pm, and thoughtfully displays local sake and coffee on the wall. Three types of local sake were available, all very delicious. The room was new, clean, and spacious. The bed was also very comfortable, and I slept well. The room and bathroom were completely accessible, with no stairs. This design is both modern and thoughtful. The breakfast was also delicious, with a variety of local ingredients. The price was similar to a typical business hotel, but the service far exceeded my expectations, and I was very satisfied. Highly recommended!

This was my first time staying at this hotel. I chose it because I read in other reviews that the breakfast was delicious. Whenever I visit Toyama, I always choose a hotel near Toyama Station for easy access to sightseeing. This hotel is right next to Aramachi Station (tram line), so I could walk there. The welcome drinks included local sake, coffee, and even a matcha latte, all of which were fantastic. However, the hotel is only open from 3 PM to 10 PM. It was a shame that we couldn't take food or drinks with us in the morning or when checking out. Perhaps I misread it, but I think I saw a sign next to the welcome drinks that said "No outside food or drinks allowed." If that's true, what's the point of the microwave on the fourth floor? I wondered, but maybe I was mistaken. The breakfast was absolutely delicious; I wanted another serving! They even offered dishes cooked with local Toyama ingredients.
