It was the first hotel under Asahi Kasei Real Estate, operated and managed by KASOKU, with SECAI serving as the brand consultant. It also became the prototype of the AIMA series apartments that were later launched. Later, it was incorporated into the Ueno East Building under the AIMA brand. It was designed with the concept of a Tokyo Neighborhood Hotel, emphasizing medium- and long-term accommodation design and local living atmosphere.

KASOKU Co., Inc. was founded in January 2013 and formally established as a company in June 2015. Headquartered in Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo, the company has long been engaged in providing one-stop services for hotel planning, design, development, sales and operation. It has launched more than 50 accommodation facilities such as serviced apartments, business hotels and stand-alone hotels in Tokyo and Osaka.
In 2026, KASOKU launched its own brand, AIMA, which is positioned as an apartment hotel based on the concept of a neighborhood hotel.
