Founded in 1982 as Amarin Plaza, The Erawan Group was a joint venture established by three Thai families. It gradually expanded from real estate development to hotel operation. In 1991, it opened its first hotel, the Grand Hyatt Bangkok, followed by the JW Marriott Bangkok in 1997. In 2005, it officially changed its name to The Erawan Group, initially focusing on introducing international hotel brands.

The hotel I was most anxious about before the trip turned out to be the first place I wanted to write a five-star recommendation for after the trip! ❤❤❤👍👍👍 There wasn't much information online, mostly videos of Thai families traveling together, and relatively few videos from Taiwanese and Japanese travelers. However, before checking in, I emailed the hotel with some questions, and they responded quickly and in detail, which reassured me. Plus, the reviews on Agoda, Booking, and Google were all quite high, so I decided to give it a try. When I arrived, the exterior was indeed rather simple 😅, but once I entered the lobby, it was bright and modern. The front desk staff were very friendly and spoke English and Japanese without any problems. We even encountered a Chinese-speaking staff member who helped us a lot (a special thank you to this Chinese-speaking staff member! 😊). The lobby provides basic amenities for self-service, an ice machine, and free coffee, as shown in the picture. This time, I stayed in a low-floor, triple room. The room was very clean, bright, and had enough lights 💡. The bed frame was high, so you could put your suitcase underneath, which was great (and the area under the bed was clean too!). The toiletries in the bathroom were decent, but the water pressure was excellent and the water temperature remained consistently high. The only downside was that it was a typical small room in the city (according to my research, it was formerly the APA Hotel, with a similar layout). However, because there was storage space under the bed and plenty of open cabinets, it didn't feel cramped at all. Compared to another hotel room I stayed in during my trip, which was larger, this one felt more comfortable and had a smoother layout! Before the trip, I read reviews mentioning a barbecue smell in the hallway, and I did smell it on my first day! 😳 Because the hallway is open to the outside and has no windows, the smell from nearby barbecue restaurants really does waft into the hallway, especially on lower floors, but it didn't affect the room. There was absolutely no odor when I checked in; you just need to be quick when opening and closing the door. 🤣 However, I didn't smell it again on the second and third days. The hotel only has one elevator, and while reviews mentioned long wait times, I didn't experience any during my stay. In conclusion, considering the hotel's location, front desk service, room cleanliness, and price, it's really high value for money! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My initial anxieties were completely unfounded; I would definitely return if I were in Ueno again!

I was lucky to book this hotel. For two people, I felt it was great value for money. 1. Excellent location, just a short walk from the subway station. 2. The hotel staff were very friendly and spoke Chinese. 3. It's a newly opened hotel last year, so the facilities and environment are new and well-maintained. The room size is a bit small for two people, but you can put your suitcase under the bed. However, I think the size of most hotels in Japan is similar. 4. It's conveniently located near Ameyoko to buy cosmetics; you can leave your purchases directly at the hotel without carrying heavy bags! 5. Housekeeping cleans the room daily; there's a magnetic sign on the door that you can stick outside, and it's always spotless when you return! 6. The guests were all very polite, and perhaps due to the excellent soundproofing, there was no noise or chatter. We had a very comfortable stay for several nights!

The location is superb, just a 2-minute walk from Incheon Airport bus stop 6015, and two subway lines are nearby. The room is very spacious, making it easy to carry even large luggage. The staff speaks multiple languages, including Chinese, which is very helpful. Check-in was quick and the bed was comfortable. I would definitely stay here again, as this is an ideal choice for accommodation in Seoul.

Everything was perfect for my family. We stayed in a duplex family room. The room was very spacious; even with our 31-inch, 26-inch, and 20-inch suitcases on the floor, my son could still play comfortably. The beds were also suitable for a family.
