The Nikko Hotel Sathorn Bangkok is located at the intersection of Silom and Sathorn districts in Bangkok, situated on the busy and fast-moving Sathorn South and North Roads. The hotel is surrounded by Bangkok’s premier financial and lifestyle hub, home to numerous multinational corporate headquarters and renowned upscale restaurants. Overall Review: Actual Accommodation Reviews of the Nikko Grand Sathorn Bangkok

The Nikko Grand Sathorn Bangkok is the first project of the Nikko Group's most upscale brand in Southeast Asia and Thailand. Located in the heart of the Sathorn financial district, it boasts spacious rooms, excellent soundproofing, and attentive service. The breakfast is made to order, a unique feature. The main drawbacks are the relatively simple breakfast selection, some rooms still having a slight smell of new decor from the initial opening period, and the distance from the BTS station. Overall, it's suitable for business travelers, those seeking Japanese-style hospitality, and those needing an extended stay in a serviced apartment.

  • Service features and brand characteristics: Japanese hospitality spirit lands in Bangkok, with sincerity hidden in the details! This is the first property in Thailand and Southeast Asia under Nikko Hotels & Resorts' most upscale brand. The service embodies authentic Japanese hospitality, with Mandarin-speaking staff at the front desk to assist with taxi bookings and other communication, virtually eliminating language barriers. During my stay, the staff proactively paid attention to details; I even received a handmade mango cake as a birthday gift. The overall atmosphere was quiet and orderly, with very few noisy children. The service was measured yet efficient, attentive, and responsive to every request. For a newly opened hotel, the staff's training level is remarkably high.
  • Room type selection and equipment features: Japanese-style wet and dry separation bathroom, the higher the floor, the more attractive the view!Guest rooms start from 40 square meters, with the largest suite reaching 178 square meters. There are also 36 extended-stay serviced apartments with kitchenettes, suitable for business travelers or families. Rooms feature firm Japanese-style mattresses and separate wet and dry areas in the bathrooms. The toilets are smart bidet models, and the toiletries and tableware are exquisitely crafted. The soundproofing on higher floors is excellent, ensuring a very quiet night. However, as the hotel has only recently opened, some rooms still have a lingering smell of new furniture. Those with sensitive skin can request assistance with ventilation at the front desk.
  • Dining spaces and public facilities: Freshly made breakfast meets teppanyaki delicacies, and the swimming pool and rooftop bar are equally eye-catching!The hotel features an all-day dining restaurant, SANUK, where breakfast is prepared to order, a departure from the traditional buffet. The teppanyaki restaurant, ICHO, offers an excellent dining experience, while the Japanese restaurant Benkay and the dessert café LA-MUN are highly praised for their handcrafted baked goods. The rooftop bar TENKU33 on the 33rd floor offers panoramic views of the Bangkok skyline, while the 12th floor houses a swimming pool, gym, spa, and kids' club. However, the breakfast selection is somewhat limited, with a small seafood selection. Weekend options are more plentiful, and breakfast add-ons are relatively expensive.
  • Transportation and surrounding environment: Quiet amidst the bustling financial district, with walking attractions and MRT stations a bit far away! The hotel is located in the financial and embassy district of Sathorn Road, close to the King Power Mahanakong Tower, Patpong Night Market, and Lumpinee Park. Nearby amenities include gas stations, fast food restaurants, and massage parlors. The nearest BTS station, Chong Nonsi, is a 10-15 minute walk away, but currently there is no paid or free shuttle service. Overall, this area is more suitable for business travelers and those seeking a quiet neighborhood. For those planning extensive shopping or visits to riverside attractions, additional transportation arrangements will be necessary.

⭐Recommendation rating: ★★★★☆ (4.5/5.0)

  • Recommended groups:Business travelers, honeymooners seeking Japanese-style hospitality, families with children, and business people requiring extended stays in serviced apartments.
  • Reasons for recommendation:Located close to the financial district and embassy area, it is ideal for business travelers; the service is attentive and multilingual, making it suitable for first-time visitors to Bangkok who are concerned about communication barriers; and there is a variety of room types to suit both short and long stays.

✅Reminders

  • The breakfast contents did not meet expectations:The breakfast menu is relatively simple, with limited seafood options. If you have high expectations for the variety of Japanese buffet options, it is recommended to arrange to eat out separately or check the menu in advance before deciding whether to purchase additional items.
  • MRT walking distance and new renovation smell:The actual walking time to the nearest BTS station may exceed ten minutes, and the hotel does not currently offer a shuttle service; in addition, some room types still have a fresh smell from the new renovations, and guests with sensitive constitutions can inform the front desk upon check-in for assistance with ventilation.

"This Japanese-style boutique hotel, which just opened in April, offered amazing service. I stayed in a Conner room, which was incredibly spacious, nearly 15 pings (approximately 33 square meters). The bathroom was also large and luxurious, with floor-to-ceiling windows creating an elegant atmosphere. It even had a bidet toilet – a luxury experience usually reserved for hotels! The Conner room's floor-to-ceiling windows surrounded the living room, offering stunning city views – absolutely fantastic! The room included NT$1500 in credits, which could be used to redeem everything except drinks – a great deal! We were incredibly lucky; they even allowed me to check out late until 4:00 PM! Since we arrived late, we decided to use our credits to go to the Tenku33 rooftop bar for drinks and snacks. The rooftop bar had a fantastic atmosphere, and the food was exquisite and delicious. I highly recommend the Wagyu beef rice crackers and grilled meat patties! This Japanese hotel places great emphasis on hospitality; for example, they pressed the elevator button for us and bowed respectfully as they closed the door – incredibly polite! The most memorable part was the check-in..." When we were checking out, the lobby manager seemed to stand by, carefully inquiring about any potential needs. They even proactively offered to help when we discussed taking photos. The photos turned out fantastic; I think the hotel has trained its staff, as the composition perfectly captured the chandelier. The service was completely unobtrusive, making me feel the hotel was very confident and professional in its service! When we checked out and got into our car, all the lobby staff bowed respectfully in a Japanese style. But as our car was about to leave, we turned back, and they bowed again – incredibly thoughtful! For an ordinary person like me to receive such hospitality was truly pleasant and made me feel very honored!

"This hotel, which opened in April, boasts exquisite design, cleanliness, and courteous, helpful staff. The nearest shopping mall is about a 10-minute walk away, and there isn't a single 7-Eleven downstairs. I stayed on two floors, the 19th and 22nd. The 22nd floor faces the street, and the traffic noise is quite loud around 11 or 12 pm, which might be difficult for light sleepers. The 19th floor was cleaner, while the 22nd floor was a bit dusty. The staff on the 19th floor were also more attentive, bringing us candy around 6 or 7 pm every night. The bed wasn't very large, but the sheets were clean and white, although the bed was a bit hard. The air conditioning was also very loud, affecting sleep. The water pressure in the bathroom was weak on both floors, and the water temperature was unstable, fluctuating between hot and cold. The water pressure was also poor; you had to wait at least 5 minutes for the water to come out, and then wait some more. For this price, such facilities are unacceptable."

"Hotel Nikko Bangkok is truly exceptional, largely thanks to its warm and attentive staff. From the general manager to the housekeeping team, everyone is incredibly friendly and welcoming, always greeting guests with a genuine Thai smile. The rooms are impeccably clean, the pool area is fantastic, and the gym is well-equipped. I also found the spa to be excellent value for a five-star hotel. Don't miss the rooftop bar—it offers delicious cocktails and a wide selection of wines, definitely worth a visit. In short, this hotel offers exceptional value and I highly recommend staying here!"
