I booked a three-night stay at Ikkyu Hotel using their discounted rates. The room was a Japanese-style tatami double room. First, the advantages: quiet! It's rare to be near Namba without being bothered by the exhaust fumes of the biker gangs. Although it's very close to the Arrow pachinko parlor, I wasn't bothered by the customers there. Every morning I saw a bunch of Japanese people queuing to get into the pachinko parlor, which made me curious about its appeal. Just around the corner is Kizu Market, and across the main road are Life supermarket and a butcher shop behind a gas station, making it convenient to buy drinks and food. The disadvantages: because it's tatami room, it's inconvenient to drag suitcases in. Opening luggage larger than 24 inches at the door is a bit difficult. Also, the work desk is too high, and without a chair, it's inconvenient to use. After opening the two floor mattresses, there's not much space left, and your head will be under a beam when sleeping; travelers with certain taboos should be aware of this. The laundry fee (400 yen) was a bit high compared to Toyoko or super hotels. Overall, it was clean. Providing drinking water would be a plus, and open dining and conversation areas in the common areas would be even better.

This was my first time staying at this hotel (I had looked at many different ones in this area before finally deciding on this one). I stayed for a total of 5 days and 4 nights. The hotel's location and the abundance of supermarkets and restaurants nearby, along with its convenient walking distance from Namba Station (near Daikokucho Station exit), were excellent. The room amenities were much better than I expected. The hotel lobby offered complimentary coffee and drinks, and the front desk and building staff were very kind and helpful. This hotel is definitely worth recommending! 👍🏾 I look forward to staying here again next time I have the opportunity to visit Osaka! 🤟🏾

I booked this hotel through a JR Tokai package tour. The nearest station is Asakusa Station on the Tsukuba Express. Other stations, including the Asakusa Line and Ginza Line, are easily accessible. There's also Don Quijote nearby. The room is quite spacious for the price, and the amenities were plentiful. I slept very comfortably that night. The hotel also has a microwave and vending machines. I highly recommend this hotel if you're planning to stay in Asakusa.

I chose this hotel because I planned to visit Yokohama, one of Japan's three most popular night views in 2025, along with Yokohama Chinatown, one of Japan's three most popular Chinatowns, the Great Buddha of Kamakura, and Kamakura High School Square (featured in the anime "Slam Dunk"). The location was excellent, saving me a lot of time. The hotel provided hot drinks and cookies, which I appreciated, and I'm also grateful that the guests didn't take too much. If you're interested, you can check out before 11 pm, saving money and time, making it easy to plan your itinerary. High value for money!
