"Nitenmon [Important Cultural Property] was built in 1644. Originally, it was the side gate of Toshogu Shrine within the temple grounds. The current gate is the east gate of Senso-ji Temple, rebuilt in 1649. After the Heisei Restoration, it was restored to its original appearance. Its name comes from the two heavens enshrined in the temple, Changshuten and Jikokuten. (The above content is excerpted from the Senso-ji Temple website.) Located to the east of Senso-ji Temple, you will pass Asakusa Shrine on the way. Nitenmon looks solemn and elegant. On May 9th, you can often see rickshaw pullers stopping in front of the gate to help tourists take photos."
