Edit x Seven The Setouchi Shodoshima Resort will grandly open in March 2026. Located in the Seto Inland Sea, the resort has a total of 45 guest rooms, all with balconies overlooking the Seto Inland Sea. Some suites feature saunas and private swimming pools, making it the first resort of the brand to feature pool rooms. The resort also features the brand's first combination of an infinity pool, hot spring baths and Finnish sauna.

Our family stayed here and was very satisfied with our trip. The room design and spaciousness, especially the view of Mount Fuji, were very impressive. Furthermore, the in-room washing machine and dryer were very convenient, greatly benefiting family travel. However, since the room is designed for multiple family members, the washing machine is a bit small, making it difficult to wash everyone's clothes at once, especially in winter when clothes are thicker. The hotel facilities and environment were well-maintained, and overall, we were quite satisfied. The complimentary breakfast was generously portioned, a good start to our day. Although the hotel is not far from the outlet mall, driving is recommended. This hotel does not offer telephone service; if you need to inquire, you can only go to the front desk on the first floor. The staff are very responsive. Also, Wi-Fi is only available in each room, so there is no Wi-Fi even in the lobby, which is somewhat inconvenient. In conclusion, edit x seven Fuji Gotemba is a great place to relax. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, especially the unbeatable view of Mount Fuji from the balcony. Highly recommended for family travelers!

This room is huge! I absolutely love it! Four people can fit all their suitcases, and there's still plenty of space to play and eat. The bathroom is spacious with a large mirror, two sinks, a shower, and a bathtub all in one room, but the toilet is separate so everyone can take turns. There's also a separate washer and dryer in the room. A microwave, induction cooker, tableware, cups, and a kettle are all provided. Both the lobby and the room are very comfortable! There are even chairs outside the hotel where you can enjoy breakfast, which is quite nice with several options (see pictures). Each person gets their own meal, so you don't have to worry about running out of food if you come down late. There's a large screen and a gym on the first floor. At just over 2000 per person, this hotel is a great deal! ❤️ The service is excellent; the staff are very patient and enthusiastic. The only downside is that you can only see half of Mount Fuji from the 3rd floor; the other half is blocked by the parking lot in front. 🥹 Highly recommended for group travel! 👍

I stayed at the Edit X Seven Setouchi Shodoshima, a chain hotel, and the overall experience was truly fantastic! Located on the Shodoshima beachfront, facing the Seto Inland Sea, the hotel boasts stunning views. The seascape is captivating in the morning and evening, offering different vistas that invite you to simply relax and enjoy the scenery. The rooms were clean, spacious, and fully equipped. I especially loved the kitchenette with its own cookware, tableware, microwave, and washing machine – as convenient and comfortable as a short-term rental apartment. The en-suite bathroom had a bathtub, perfect for relaxing while gazing at the sea – incredibly therapeutic. The public facilities were also impressive, with sophisticated lighting design. The infinity pool, sauna, hot tub, and cold tub were all well-maintained, and towels and bathrobes were thoughtfully provided at the entrance, creating a comfortable and relaxing environment. The hotel restaurant's breakfast is also highly recommended; using fresh local ingredients, the taste exceeded my expectations, showing a thoughtful attention to detail. I particularly loved the Thermal Spa & Infinity Pool – soaking in the hot tub while enjoying the sea view, completely immersed in the tranquil atmosphere of the Seto Inland Sea, was an unforgettable moment of my trip.

Dinner 🍲 and breakfast 🍳 are both in the West Wing restaurant 🍴 ——————————————— 🙂Impressions: Half of the corner rooms on the east side are blocked by the roof, so the view is generally not visible 🥲 But the west side is really great, with a panoramic view of the distance. It's a pity that you can't enjoy the view while soaking in the bathroom, as the windows are covered with frosted glass. The restaurant has a huge view, and the ambiance is beautifully decorated 👍🏻 It's a newly opened hotel in January 2026. Honestly, there's only one yakiniku (grilled meat) restaurant and a supermarket/convenience store nearby, so we booked a one-night stay with two meals for convenience. It cost ¥4000 per person for four dishes (unfortunately, the older folks might not have been used to the appetizer salad and Shodoshima sashimi). The risotto featured squid and seafood; the squid was very tender and quite good.
