I took a long-awaited trip to Yilan for a hot spring bath. This time, I skipped the crowded Jiaoxi area and headed to the Cuncyue Hot Spring Resort in Luodong Township. The 360-degree panoramic views and double-pool rooms were fantastic. I was even luckier to have a sunny day, with the beautiful Lanyang Plain and Guishan Island right before my eyes. Locals also say that sunny weather has become increasingly common in Yilan in recent years. While traffic can still be congested at the end of the weekend, it's definitely worth visiting on weekdays. Luodong Village Que International Hot Spring Hotel offers a total of 453 guest rooms and suites, each exceeding 50 square meters in size and featuring dual hot and cold plunge pools using natural spring water. They also feature private outdoor balconies, complimentary and fully stocked minibars, and high-support beds, among other highly acclaimed amenities. Most importantly, each stay offers a different perspective, with the more expensive view rooms and suites offering even more stunning aerial vistas. For those sensitive to train noise, please note your preference for a room on a lower floor when booking, "Avoiding the Railway Line."
This time, I stayed in Wendy's favorite Xingyu View Room, which features dual-aspect lighting. Both the hot spring and the bed offer stunning aerial views, and at night, I could enjoy the night view from my private balcony. The hotel's unique 360-degree panoramic architectural design is a highlight, offering unobstructed views from every room. The biggest drawback is that some rooms are exposed to western sunlight, making the air conditioning less effective. In such cases, thick curtains and fans are recommended to maximize the hotel's amenities and Luodong's natural breeze. If you're concerned, please note "heat-sensitive" when booking. Ha! Cunque International Hot Spring Hotel is a full-service five-star hotel. With its spacious banquet hall and multi-functional meeting rooms, along with a family-friendly club floor and amenities, it's a perfect choice for corporate retreats and meetings. For small families like us, the main attraction is the brunch buffet, served from 6:30 AM to 1:00 PM. We can wake up late and enjoy local delicacies like freshly cooked beef soup, duck, and fruits and vegetables, avoiding the peak meal times for group travelers.
The Cunque International Hot Spring Hotel boasts a leisure club that takes up an entire floor, offering a large bathing area and swimming pool perfect for families. There's also a gym, spa, and children's playroom, perfect for both adults and children. The afternoon is perfect for a dip in the pool, which is shaded by buildings. There's both a children's pool and a 120-centimeter-deep adult pool, allowing seven-year-old Hamburger to finally shout, "I'm an adult!" He can play freely on a paddleboard, without the need for a swim ring.

The 1.3-meter-tall Hamburger, who had just lost his buoyancy vest in Hiroshima, practiced swimming in the swimming pool wearing only a swimsuit.▲ There is a gym in front of the left side of the counter on the 5th floor. It is not big and has few facilities, but it is simple and sufficient.▲ The men's and women's bathing areas each have two hot spring areas, offering nude bathing and swimming bathing respectively. In the afternoon, you can wear your swimsuit to the swimming bathing area, and in the evening, you can go to the nude bathing area to bathe and soak.▲ The large public bath uses sodium bicarbonate beauty bath that gushes naturally from underground. When the hotel was under construction and the spring water was dug up, it was directly upgraded on site and converted into a hot spring hotel design.▲ There are children's play areas on the left and right of the service counter on the 5th floor, suitable for infants and preschoolers respectively. They are required to wear socks to enter. The elementary school student Hamburger is more interested in the swimming pool at this time.▲ A Mingchu Parkson restaurant is located next to the service center on the first floor, with two sections, Risheng and Yueheng, with a total of 550 seats. The buffet breakfast serves exotic cuisine until 1 p.m.▲ Mingchu Parkson Restaurant adopts an open kitchen design and offers hundreds of meals and various drinks and desserts, including basic exotic cuisine as well as local Yilan-style meals.▲ Wendy's tried all the main dishes. The first recommendation is the freshly cooked beef soup. It's great to provide on-site cooking, and there are also many drink options.▲ The EAST&WEST restaurant is located on the 23rd floor, serving kaiseki cuisine, Japanese set meals, and teppanyaki. The meals are exquisite and the dining environment is elegant, and the service quality is also good.▲ When checking in, the counter provides each person with a 200 yuan discount coupon, which can be used to offset consumption at the sky-high bar. In-depth understanding: the brand story of Luodong Village Que International Hot Spring Hotel
Yongtai Construction Co., Ltd. was founded on April 1987, 4, and is headquartered in Xizhi District, New Taipei City. The company primarily engages in construction, real estate sales, and leasing. In 7, it entered the hotel industry for the first time, launching the Village International Hot Spring Hotel in the hometown of the founder's spouse. The hotel was named after the founder's parents.
The Cunque International Hot Spring Hotel covers an area of 246 square meters. It was originally planned as a residential project. After the natural spring water of Luodong Creek was excavated, it was transformed into a five-star hot spring hotel directly operated by the construction company. It also became the only star-rated hotel in Luodong. It is located next to the Shiliufen Canal and the hotel is registered as Yilan County Hotel No. XNUMX.

Comprehensive review: Actual accommodation evaluation of Luodong Village Que International Hot Spring Hotel
Conveniently located in the heart of Luodong City, the Cunque International Hot Spring Hotel is the tallest 24-story landmark building and the only star-rated hotel in the area. It boasts stunning views from its upper floors, stunning nightscapes, dual in-room hot spring pools, and family-friendly amenities. Its main drawbacks include poor air conditioning in some rooms, soundproofing issues in rooms near the railway tracks, and improved maintenance of some leisure facilities. Overall, it's suitable for families, couples seeking a high-rise view, and those seeking a relaxing hot spring retreat.
Service features and brand characteristics: Five-star friendly service level, appropriate separation of group tourists and individual tourists! The hotel staff is friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant staff are particularly attentive and proactive in addressing dining needs. For a mix of group and individual travelers, the front desk provides room cards for group travelers in advance, allowing them to focus on checking in individual travelers in the afternoon. Group travelers, on the other hand, have to queue nearby to receive their room cards, which is a welcome change. However, the adjacent reception area can be temporarily occupied, making it difficult to grab the complimentary welcome drinks. The hotel also offers rental cribs, sterilizers, and baby bathtubs, making it very family-friendly.
Room selection and equipment features: All rooms are equipped with dual hot spring pools, and the railway and high-altitude views are therapeutic! All rooms are spacious and comfortable, each featuring a hot and cold hot spring pool. Enjoy private soaks while appreciating stunning views of Lanyang Plain, Guishan Island, or the railway. The dazzling lights at night create a truly romantic atmosphere. The rooms are generously stocked with complimentary bottled water, soft drinks, tea bags, coffee, and specialty cookies. The main drawbacks are the inadequate air conditioning in west-facing rooms, weak showerhead water pressure, and slow hot water supply. Rooms on lower floors near the railway are also less soundproof, but some may find the railway view appealing.
Dining Space and Public Facilities: The Starry Sky Bar has a stunning night view, and brunch is perfect for night owls! The hotel's highlight is the rooftop Sky Bar, offering an unexpectedly stunning view of Luodong's dazzling nightscape. It's also the perfect spot for a drink and a nighttime get-together with friends. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of dishes, especially the freshly cooked beef soup. A variety of canned drinks and ice cream are also available for grab-and-go. Served from 6:30 AM to 1 PM, it's perfect for those who want to sleep in naturally or avoid the peak group dining season. The fifth floor features an outdoor swimming pool, children's play area, and fitness center, catering to the needs of the entire family. However, the pool tiles are peeling, which could use some work.
Transportation and surroundings: Close to Luodong Night Market and the train station, with railway views and indoor parking! The hotel is a 10-minute walk from Luodong Train Station and a 15-minute walk from Luodong Night Market, making it convenient for strolling to local cuisine. Furthermore, attractions like Dongshan River Water Park and Yilan Cultural Arts Park are within a 20-minute drive. The hotel offers ample free indoor parking, and the Luodong Bus Terminal is also nearby, making it a great choice for weekend trips to Yilan. Finally, lower-floor rooms facing the tracks may experience the noise of passing trains; if you're concerned, please request to avoid these rooms when booking.
"I checked in on May 24th. I decided to book the one-night stay with two meals because of the mostly positive Google reviews for the teppanyaki and kaiseki. However, when booking on Booking.com, I didn't see any information indicating that dinner would require an additional order if I wanted to upgrade. After booking, I didn't receive any reminders from the hotel about the dinner add-on, not even a check-in notification. I only found out on the day of check-in that it was a buffet. I asked the front desk if I could change it, but they just said it was too late and there was nothing they could do. This hotel's mistake today was really baffling. They were so looking forward to dinner without any prior notice. Honestly, the front desk staff at 5 pm just wanted to remind me about the additional order, but that's exactly what I ordered today! I also want everyone to know that dinner costs about 8 NTD per person for the buffet, but it was terrible. No wonder I didn't see any reviews on Google. You'd be better off spending that money at Luodong Night Market, or even the restaurant next door!" On the day of the dinner, they provided half a lobster and another main course, but the lobster had already been pre-cooked and was sitting there. If you started at 5:5 PM and went down at 6:5 PM, you'd likely only get a very cold lobster, along with a cold fried egg. It was truly speechless 😑. Is it really appropriate to serve seafood at room temperature? Overall, the dinner was very difficult to finish, and I didn't want to get more. Also, the squid sushi that day had an inexplicably sticky and slightly mushy texture; I spat it out immediately after taking a bite. However, I still want to give the restaurant manager a huge thumbs up. Her service was impeccable; she saved a large portion of the restaurant from customer complaints. I also saw her busy at breakfast the next day; we really owe her a lot. The staff at the door on the afternoon of May 24th were also excellent; while I was waiting for my room key, they came over to remind me that snacks and drinks were available nearby. 👍 Anyway, I still hope that booking websites can provide more complete information, and that there should be a chat function after booking so that hotels can remind guests. Without comparison, there's no harm done; other hotels (at similar price points) only remind guests three times from the moment of booking until the day before check-in, which is practically copying and pasting. Also, there was a huge cockroach in the room 🪳🫠 even in the bathtub area.

"We checked in on July 17th, and the kaiseki meal at the hotel gave our whole family a terrible dinner experience. Upon being seated, we were placed in the corner closest to the restaurant entrance, with no other guests in front or behind us, perhaps because we had a baby with us. After the appetizers, my wife and I felt very stuffy, so we asked the staff if the air conditioning could be turned up, but we were told it was central air conditioning and the temperature couldn't be adjusted. Later, when the main course arrived, I had already stated beforehand that I didn't like raw beef and clearly requested it be well-done, but it was still red in the middle. What's even more baffling is that we heard other guests also complaining about not eating raw main courses, yet the staff told us they could replace them. If they could replace them, why weren't we informed of this option when I made my request? Furthermore, one of the dishes was two whole fried small fish, which the staff specifically introduced as 'baby fish.' My wife and I immediately lost our appetites. I forced myself to finish it, not wanting to waste food, while my wife chose to cancel the meal." When the soup was served after the meal, the restaurant was still extremely stuffy; my wife was so hot she almost cried. We complained to the staff again, asking if we could change seats, order takeout, or have our food delivered to our room if the air conditioning couldn't be adjusted, as we and the baby were really suffering. Only then did the staff agree to move us to a central table where the main dishes were served, to dine with other guests. The dinner cost $1690 per person, plus a 10% service charge, but the overall dining experience was disappointing. I strongly suggest families with young children carefully consider whether to dine at the hotel. It's better to eat at the Luodong Night Market than to pay such a high price and be treated poorly; at least you won't have such a bad experience and will get a full meal.

1. I stayed in a four-person room on the 18th floor for two nights. It had a large window with a balcony offering great views, including a clear view of Turtle Island. 2. The bathroom was spacious with two hot tubs and three windows, making it very bright. It also had the hairdryer I was looking for – very powerful! 3. The room was simply furnished. The refrigerator had drinks, and there were cookies on the table. There were plenty of power outlets, making it very convenient. They even gave me a small cake because I was celebrating my birthday. 4. The rooftop stargazing bar had a truly beautiful night view. Even if you didn't have a meal, you could still go up and enjoy the view. 5. The public facilities, including the swimming pool, hot spring, and gym, were not used, but the fact that they exist is a big plus. There's also a Chigo building block area on the first floor, which kids interested in building blocks would love. 6. The breakfast selection was plentiful, the beef soup was delicious, and the ice cream was rich. After breakfast, you can feed the fish. I especially want to mention the restaurant staff; my daughter wanted to use the restroom but couldn't find it, and they proactively led us there – so thoughtful! The male staff in the lobby also kept reminding us that we could ask for more fish food if we needed it. This proactive and friendly attitude was really great. However, for this price, the room cleanliness needs improvement: 1. There was a lot of dust and lint in the corner wardrobe area, and I even saw plastic wrap trash. 🙂↕️ 2. The bathroom fixtures had obvious limescale. 3. There were even drawings left by previous guests on the table, which made me wonder how the housekeeping staff cleaned the room? 😳 Overall, the two-night stay was good. Although there were some shortcomings, they were minor issues. If I have the opportunity again, I would choose to stay here again. The bed was really comfortable. 👍
