Map of best rated accommodations in central Bangkok
Most of the five-star hotels in downtown Siam are clustered around the Erawan Shrine, and many shopping malls can be visited on foot. Although it has the advantage of being close to the Siam MRT station, it is extremely crowded during commuting, so remember to avoid peak hours when traveling. The traffic and environment around the hotel are also relatively complicated. For those who prefer a quiet accommodation environment, it is recommended to choose to stay around the wireless road of Philonchi Station. It also has the advantages of being close to the center of Siam, but the environment is more peaceful and simple.
Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel Bangkok 🛏️ Room Type: Grand Deluxe Room, with a living room, open bedroom, walk-in closet, and a super large toilet with double sinks for convenience. The bathtub is huge! Amenities are constantly replenished! 💰 Price: NT$22148 for two nights, averaging NT$11074 per night 🚗 Transportation: Taxis are used both ways. Although located in the city center, the hotel is somewhat secluded unless you enter from another shopping mall. 🏊 Facilities: The swimming pool is very large and great for taking photos. The hotel exterior is very distinctive with many plants, and the lobby is decorated with many flowers, giving it a very high-end feel. 🤣 🥘 Meals: Breakfast includes whole coconut water, mango sticky rice, Thai dishes, and made-to-order egg dishes. The taste is quite good. The freshly made Thai milk tea doesn't taste very Thai, perhaps because they're worried foreigners won't like it too sweet. The overall service was excellent. I forgot my charger after checking out, but I was able to retrieve it smoothly by contacting them via Line. The mini-bar drinks and snacks were all complimentary! 👍🏻💕

I stayed in an executive suite for three nights. Overall, it was quite good. Here are some things to experience in an executive suite: 1. The executive lounge offers snacks/drinks and cocktails in the evening. 2. The sauna is free for executive suite guests. 3. There are some small items you can take in the room, such as herbal balm and bath salts, which can be selected using an iPad. There are also several pillow options to choose from, which will be delivered later. 4. Drinks and snacks in the refrigerator are free to use, and will be replenished the next day. 5. Breakfast can be either a buffet downstairs or à la carte at the restaurant on the 19th floor (I felt the à la carte options upstairs were limited). 6. There is a turndown service; it's advisable to keep valuables safe when leaving the room. 7. There is a washing machine in the room. Laundry detergent can be replenished if needed. 8. You can call ahead to ask them to come up and collect your luggage when checking out. The hotel's location is good; there are many restaurants and massage parlors within walking distance. You don't necessarily have to eat at the hotel restaurant or get a massage at the hotel.
The staff service was excellent, deserving a five-star rating. Every service and request met expectations, especially the breakfast staff, who didn't forget my coffee even amidst their busy schedule. The breakfast was very plentiful, but I recommend arriving early, as the queues seem quite long. If you arrive around 9 am, the queues are incredibly long; luckily, someone reserved a table for me. The breakfast selection was truly excellent, and the coffee was of very high quality. You can even order Thai milk tea, and the coffee was even decorated with latte art – you can tell they put thought into it. The room was large and clean, with a washing machine and laundry detergent provided. There weren't many drawbacks. Because I was on the adjacent top floor, the music was still blasting at 11:40 pm. If you go to bed later, it might not be so disruptive. Some appliances in the room were broken, including the showerhead. The showerhead was repaired, but some light fixtures couldn't be fixed, though it wasn't a major issue. I must commend the staff here; their response was very quick and their follow-up was very prompt. Check-in was very comfortable. I didn't have a chance to use the garden café downstairs because I usually don't return until much later. The location isn't very convenient; it's a 15-minute walk every time I go out. It's very hot, so I often have to call a taxi. However, a taxi from the hotel to the Central Room usually costs 150 to 200 baht, which isn't worth it for such a distance. Walking is also very hot, so this round trip feels wasteful. There are hotels that offer rides to the pier, like Icon Siam, which costs around 280 baht, sometimes 300. In short, unless you use the SkyTrain, it's not very convenient; it doesn't have the super-convenient feel of Okura. I noticed another hotel on the same street that offers free tuk-tuks to pick up and drop off residents at the intersection, which seemed nice. I'll try that other hotel next time. I booked a terrace room, but it was full when I arrived. So the hotel arranged a room on the top floor, number 39, for me. However, number 39 didn't have a terrace, and it was very noisy at night, which was a bit disappointing. The pool wasn't very big, probably because of the New Year, and there were a lot of tourists. Sometimes I would get kicked by other people. But the pool did have its advantages. From 5 to 6 pm, they offered complimentary drinks, which felt a bit like some hotels in Japan, and it was very welcoming. The hotel deserves praise for their thoughtful care for children. They provided slippers, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, and body wash. Last time, they even provided children's yukatas, stools, and tables. It was really heartwarming.

This is truly my favorite hotel in Bangkok. Every time I come here, I have a feeling of "Ah...I'm back." The hotel is located in the city center, making it incredibly convenient to go anywhere. Whether you want to shop at department stores, eat out, meet friends, or visit attractions, you can feel the city's rhythm just a 3-minute walk away, but you can immediately switch to relaxation mode when you return to the hotel. I absolutely love the room. It's stylish but not ostentatious, with great natural light, comfortable color scheme, and enough space to spread out your luggage. Even the room's fragrance, the firmness of the bed, and the support of the pillows are just right. It makes you go from thinking "I'll rest for 5 minutes" to "Maybe I'll just stay in the room tonight." The bathroom is large and clean, with good water pressure, consistent hot water, and friendly mirror lighting, making getting ready in the morning a breeze. I also want to give special mention to their service. The entire team is warm, efficient, and attentive to detail. When you ask a question or have a request, the staff genuinely listen and want to help you. And then there's the gym. This gym is no joke; it's spacious, has a lot of equipment, and the facilities are brand new. Compared to it, many hotel gyms look like kids playing house. For fitness enthusiasts, this is paradise. Overall, the stay is comfortable, relaxing, and stylish. It's the kind of place you'll quietly add to your "must stay here again when you're in Bangkok" list after just one stay.
The hotel has a great location in the city center, close to the Erawan Shrine and BTS station, making it very convenient for shopping and dining. I stayed there more than 10 years ago when it first opened and loved the overall design. This time, my experience was still fantastic, and I highly recommend it. The rooms were spacious, the bathroom was large, and the water pressure was strong, making showering very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, with a great view from the top floor. The staff were very friendly, and the food was freshly prepared and delicious. However, after so many years, some minor details inevitably need updating and upgrading. For example, the mattress felt a bit saggy; for such a high-end hotel, such an uncomfortable mattress is a major drawback. The lack of a security lock or chain lock on the room door made me feel uneasy, and the slamming sound when closing the door could be improved by adding a gasket. The mosquito problem in the restaurant and bar on the first floor needs to be addressed. One day, I was bitten all over my foot after sitting at the bar for only a short time, and it itched for several days, making it impossible to sleep and causing me to scratch until my skin bled. What if I had dengue fever or other infectious diseases? I hope the hotel management will pay attention to this.

Located in the heart of Bangkok, Apartment Hotel offers only suites. Due to its location on a side street, the views aren't very expansive. The pool is rather small, offering only views of the buildings across the street. It's a 3-minute walk to BTS Ratchadamri station, 8 minutes to the Erawan Shrine, and 10 minutes to Central World and BTS Chit Lom stations. The hotel has several restaurants in the basement offering different cuisines. The breakfast buffet is on Sky Terrace, but the selection is limited, and the indoor dining area is rather cramped. If you don't mind the heat and pigeons, sitting outdoors would be more comfortable.
This was a fantastic stay. The rooms were spacious, and the staff were friendly and professional, especially Mr. A, who took excellent care of our family – a 5-star rating is a must. The hotel has a classic style, and every corner is photogenic, especially the pool. It's a 10-minute walk from the Erawan Shrine, subway, shopping malls, and currency exchange. The only downside was the weak water pressure from the showerheads.

IHG Hotels & Resorts Bangkok - The Ultimate Luxury Selection
Sindhorn Midtown Hotel Bangkok Vignette Collection - By IHG
I stayed here last July and had a good impression of the hotel then. Ms. Fa, the front desk staff, was very helpful in resolving our issues. When we checked out, other staff members also inquired about any problems we encountered. It's a very attentive and meticulous hotel! This year, I chose this hotel again when I went to Bangkok, mainly because the breakfast was delicious, with different dishes every day. I was very happy to meet Ms. Fa again this time. Because there was a problem with the bathroom, Ms. Fa immediately upgraded us to a suite on a higher floor, making us feel very privileged. At checkout, she even told us that we could use the pool showers if we came back later to collect our luggage! Such thoughtful service! 👍 Thank you again, Ms. Fa! This is a hotel I would definitely want to visit again and again.

For this birthday trip, I chose Sindhorn Midtown Hotel. The hotel's distance from the Chiom MRT was acceptable, and there were tons of 7-Elevens and Starbucks nearby, making it a great choice for someone like me who needs a caffeine boost. But most importantly, from check-in to breakfast the next day, I felt incredibly welcome from the hotel staff. Even though it was my birthday, they still wished me a happy birthday! 🤣🤣🤣 The breakfast selection was plentiful, including authentic Thai-style tamagoyaki noodles, which warmed us up after a hangover. If your itinerary is in this area, I recommend this hotel! 🥰

This small but exquisite hotel is conveniently located near Big C and Centralworld for shopping. While a bit far from the BTS Skytrain, a skybridge connects it to Gaysorn Hotel, making it about a 10-minute walk to the BTS. The hotel's strengths include: enthusiastic staff creating a party-like atmosphere; fun interior design with options for board games or even billiards; and surprisingly, the seating arrangement is adjusted to suit different meal times. The outdoor space is also very comfortable, perfect for enjoying a cool breeze on a cloudy day. Staying on the 22nd floor was remarkably quiet, unlike other hotels where you can hear the traffic outside. The room's soundproofing was acceptable. The water supply was stable, allowing for comfortable hot showers, and even the sink had a consistent hot water supply. The pillows and bedding were very comfortable, and the large windows provided excellent natural light during the day. Two layers of curtains blocked out the light at night, making it easy to fall asleep. The air conditioning was quiet and didn't disturb sleep. The elevator design is convenient; there's always an elevator on the 9th floor waiting for guests. Using your room card automatically triggers your floor, which is quite convenient. Breakfast was included for three days, featuring a coffee machine with soy milk lattes, light and comforting noodles, fresh and sweet fruit, and even customizable eggs, which I really appreciated. Now for the downsides: a 6000 baht deposit is required upon check-in! While credit cards and cash are accepted, I only found out about this requirement upon arrival, and the high deposit might deter some guests. The room is rather small, especially the refrigerator, which is pitifully small. It's clear the room space is well-utilized, and while acceptable in a popular city area, it's a significant drawback compared to other hotels in the same price range. Guests who prefer larger rooms should be aware of this or choose a higher-priced room. The bathroom lacks a curtain, causing some water to splash outside during showers. Many guests have mentioned this, but I personally found it acceptable, as the housekeeping staff cleaned it up daily. The room's door lock design resulted in a noticeable noise when closing, which caused significant disturbance from frequent visits from neighboring guests and also carried through the hallway. This made me quite uncomfortable, but thankfully, I didn't encounter any such guests while I was sleeping. The room had a large Samsung TV, but unfortunately, it lacked YouTube or Netflix, rendering it essentially useless. Overall, I would still highly recommend Moxy Bangkok and plan to stay there for a few days towards the end of my trip. Bangkok will remain one of my accommodation choices for future trips.
