I came here on a friend's recommendation. The location is quiet despite being in a bustling area. There's a department store right in front of the hotel, making shopping and dining very convenient. Ikebukuro Station has both subway and JR lines, which are also very close to the hotel. Although the hotel has a bit of history, it was very clean, and the service was very friendly. The hotel receptionist speaks English, so communication wasn't a problem. The room wasn't large, but it was quite comfortable compared to other hotels in Tokyo. Perhaps because I chose a high floor with a city view window, the view didn't feel too oppressive. If you're taking the Skyline from Narita Airport to Nippori and then transferring to the JR line, you'll quickly arrive at Ikebukuro Station. Remember to find a place with an elevator, go down to the underground shopping area, find the elevator there, and then go back up to exit the station. Don't just follow Google Maps and walk short distances to the hotel; without an elevator, carrying luggage up the stairs will be very difficult unless you want to build up your strength. After getting off the JR train, find the elevator down, walk a bit further down the underground shopping area, find the department store elevator, and go back up to exit the station. Although it's a bit further from the hotel, it's all on level ground, so walking is much better than carrying luggage down stairs. In Tokyo's subway system, if you get lost and there's no elevator at the exit, you'll either have to carry your luggage up the stairs or buy a ticket and go back in to find an elevator. The hotel breakfast is quite good; I recommend booking a room with breakfast included to save time searching for food and allowing you to head out and explore Tokyo early. There's a Yoshinoya and MOS Burger across the street from the hotel, and within a five-minute walk, there are izakayas and drugstores for late-night snacks and shopping. Department stores are open until 8 PM.

Although the hotel has a long history, it's not particularly dirty; it's very clean! What I love most is that there are three convenience stores right next door (all within 5 minutes). Plus, check-out time is 12:00, giving us plenty of time! They also have luggage storage! And the most convenient thing is that there's a shuttle bus to the airport right downstairs! So convenient! Just use their QR code to buy your flight ticket (3700 yen/person). It happened to be raining when we left, but the shuttle bus is right at the entrance, so we didn't have to get wet at all to get to the airport! It's incredibly convenient, and we didn't have to wait in the hotel lobby!

I highly recommend this place for shopping lovers! The elevator to the basement level leads directly to Suncity Department Store, which is great for shopping. The connecting passageway to the bus station is also quick. Best of all, the Limousine Bus stops right in front of the hotel, so you don't have to lug your heavy luggage to the station at the end of your trip. Since we were traveling to another prefecture, we stored our luggage two days before checking in, and we were very grateful for their advance storage service. The room is really tiny; my suitcase is a lift-up type, so I couldn't store it under the bed and had to tidy it up after each use. The soundproofing in the room is also not very good. We happened to encounter an older child in the next room crying uncontrollably, so loudly that the parents in the two adjacent rooms had to be called in. Overall, despite some minor flaws, we were very satisfied with our stay and would definitely book this place again for our next trip.

Hirayama and Watanabe's service was very satisfactory. Although the hotel is a bit old (in terms of facilities), the fact that the owner hired these two employees is the company's greatest asset. Also, because I was contacted by email before my check-in but was not satisfied with the result, the hotel sent me an email the day before, but I was already on the plane and did not receive it. However, Watanabe and Hirayama at the front desk made me feel that they really wanted to help me. Even though they did not get what they wanted in the end, I was still willing to accept it.

The room was fairly spacious, but since we couldn't bring our luggage onto the tatami mats, there was nowhere to open our four large suitcases 😅. There was a kitchenette, microwave, and all the necessary tableware. The front desk staff were very friendly, but they stopped providing service after 10 PM. If you want to watch YouTube, you can borrow an Apple TV from the front desk. We went just before Valentine's Day, and they were offering small activities with gifts for completing them; the kids had a great time 👍

The room was absolutely gorgeous and smelled wonderful. If I had my own small apartment, I'd love to have such beautiful decor in my parents' home. The room itself was undeniably beautiful, and the balcony had a lovely atmosphere. There were also incredibly soft yukatas to wear after a relaxing shower – the comfort was astonishing. The only downside I could think of was that the air conditioner blew directly onto the bed, which made me feel like I might catch a cold… The breakfast was beautifully presented in baskets, and the bread was surprisingly delicious. However, I'd actually recommend eating out; the only advantage was the convenience. There's a tea room on the second floor with card access; the drinks were decent, and there were microwaves and water taps available – very convenient. The staff were very friendly! It was a very comfortable place to stay. However, in terms of location, it seemed like most of the interesting shopping malls were at another station exit. It was my first time in Ikebukuro, and I got a little lost walking from there…

The location is great, just a 3-5 minute walk from Ikebukuro Station. The staff are all very friendly and always smiling. They even nodded and greeted us when we came in through the elevator. It was excellent! The rooms were clean and comfortable, the bathroom was spacious, and there was even a sauna. I've stayed here twice already and will definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Tokyo!

However, the bathroom was too small, and the pillows were too soft and lacked fluffiness; we had to ask for an extra pillow. Also, because we were on the second floor, the soundproofing wasn't great, but since there wasn't much traffic, it wasn't a major issue. 2. The front desk service was excellent; they explained things clearly, were welcoming, and very friendly. 3. The area around JR Otsuka Station is very convenient, with a wide variety of restaurants. There's also a supermarket nearby, and a 7-Eleven downstairs. 4. They provided plenty of amenities and free coffee, which was great.

It's a small station, not too crowded, and very convenient for getting to major parts of the city. 2. The room was small, but clean and quiet. The pillows were too thin; you can ask the front desk for an extra one. Amenities are available for self-service at the front desk. 3. There's a 7-Eleven, Don Quijote, and ramen shops and izakayas open until the early hours downstairs, so you won't go hungry in the middle of the night.

I stayed for 6 nights 🛏️ The breakfast was delicious, but the food quality varied; some dishes were too soft and others too hard 🍚. It was a buffet style, and the menu changed slightly each day. The staff greeted us enthusiastically in the morning and kindly reminded us ten minutes before the end of the meal. 🔚 The room had a large table, which was nice but not enough, and it was very clean. The TV screen was also large enough. The biggest drawback was the limited space for hanging clothes and the lack of hangers! The location was very convenient, and the receptionist spoke good English and provided excellent service. I would choose this place again next time.
