ALPHABED INN near Hakata Station offers spacious and well-equipped rooms, with the multi-person rooms featuring double bathrooms. Its excellent location makes it ideal for the latter part of your trip, allowing you to wash all your laundry and organize your shopping. The main drawbacks are its proximity to JR Hakata Station (approximately a 10-minute walk), which can be inconvenient in bad weather; the unmanned check-in system may require first-time users to familiarize themselves with the procedures beforehand; and there may be volume interference during online calls when multiple people are checking in at the lobby. Overall, it's suitable for travelers looking for a Fukuoka accommodation that combines convenient transportation, amenities, and ample space.

  • Service features and brand characteristics: The unmanned self-service system is worry-free and easy to use, and the 24-hour customer service hotline is always on standby! The hotel adopts a fully automated self-service check-in system, using tablets for online video check-in. Detailed instructions are provided beforehand, and the process is clear and smooth during actual use. There are no on-site staff, but the parent company's 24-hour customer service center offers telephone support. For guests with operational questions, prior phone consultations are very patient and thorough. Shoes must be removed in all rooms, creating a more relaxed and private atmosphere than typical business hotels. Free luggage lockers are available in the lobby for convenient storage before and after check-in.
  • Room type selection and facilities: There are room types for 2 to 10 people, and a toaster would make it perfect!Six room types are available, catering to accommodation needs from 2 to 10 people. All rooms are equipped with a mini-kitchen, rice cooker, electric kettle, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, knives, and a full clothes rack. The bathroom has a powerful dryer, ensuring clothes are completely dry by the next morning. Bathrooms feature a separate bathtub and toilet; larger rooms also have a separate shower, making it more convenient for multiple people. The loft bed has a slightly low ceiling, so be careful with your head, but children will love the feeling of having a secret base. Many people have suggested adding a toaster, which is not yet provided.
  • Dining space and public facilities: There is no restaurant, but the kitchen is fully equipped and the food is delicious. There are also many bakeries nearby with a wide variety of breakfast options! The lobby is spacious and bright, with luggage storage space and an elevator, making it easy to handle large luggage. There is no restaurant or breakfast service on-site; it's a purely overnight stay. Rooms are equipped with a microwave, dishes, cling film, and paper towels, allowing guests to bring their own food to heat up in their rooms. A popular bakery is nearby, where guests can queue in the morning to buy items to take back to their rooms for their own coffee – a highly praised feature. Convenience stores are located downstairs or very close by for replenishing daily necessities and food.
  • Transportation and surrounding environment: It's a 10-minute walk to Hakata Station, and you can easily reach it by strolling through the old streets of Hakata! The hotel is located on the outskirts of the business district, in a quiet environment. It's about a 10-minute walk from JR Hakata Station, which is acceptable, but can be slightly inconvenient in bad weather. A taxi to Hakata Station costs approximately 910 yen. Space: Since the hotel just opened, the room was in perfect condition (100%). Compared to typical small Japanese rooms, the double bed was actually two single beds pushed together, so there was no worry about sharing comforters. Two suitcases or two people could easily squeeze into the double room. Amenities: Basic amenities were provided in the lobby, and there was self-service luggage storage. Bathroom: Also excellent! The bathtub wasn't just a basic one. The water pressure was stable, with no sudden changes in temperature, and the hot water came quickly, filling the bathtub just as fast. Distance: Although Google Maps suggests 10-13 minutes from Hakata Station, it didn't feel that long; it was a comfortable walk. Convenience Stores: The convenience store tour before returning to the hotel was convenient. There were four convenience stores along the way without turning, and a 7-Eleven right below the hotel. The convenience stores had a wide variety of products for everyone. The only time that took a little while was check-in, but a staff member came to help us through it. Overall, I would definitely stay at this hotel again! 👍🏼

"This is a newly opened hotel (opened on December 16, 2025). I was lucky to be able to check in the next day; all the facilities were brand new. The hotel operates on a no-check-in basis and doesn't have a parking lot, but there are plenty of parking lots nearby. I received an email with the main entrance code the day before my check-in. After confirming with customer service on a tablet in the lobby, they immediately showed me my room number and code. The room had a front-loading washer (no dryer, but you can dry your clothes in the bathroom with the hot air dryer), a microwave, refrigerator, IH oven, a full set of kitchen utensils, and a kitchen knife—basically a complete small family home. There are several supermarkets nearby. The air conditioning is a separate unit, the TV is a standard Google TV with internet access, there's a balcony outside the window, and floor-to-ceiling windows that can be opened. The room's Wi-Fi was fast. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel has been newly renovated, and the rooms are very new. I stayed in room 802, which was very spacious. The room can accommodate up to 8 people. There are two separate toilets and two bathrooms, one of which has a bathtub. There is a kitchenette with cookware, tableware, and knives. There is also a microwave, a double-door refrigerator, and an island dining table. There are supermarkets nearby, including a 24-hour supermarket. The amenities are very convenient. It's very convenient to walk to the Hakata Station shopping area. This was a very good stay, and I will definitely come back next time I'm in Fukuoka."
