After the main building of Pingtung Library was rebuilt, I met with the citizens in August 2020. At that time, I saw media reports that I was determined to sprint. I didn’t expect that when I returned to my hometown last year, it was closed during the Spring Festival. Until this trip south, I could see the beauty of the architecture. , not lost to foreign libraries, the construction team's ability to create the most beautiful library is high, and you can also see it in Tainan Library!
30 years of building remodeled into a new look
On the premise of retaining the original library structure and the entire 50-year-old camphor tree, and increasing the number of books and seats, supplemented by the exhibition space, the threshold for directly destroying and building a new one is relatively low. I admire this project. The leader, not every item is the theme of new construction, but can leave the life trajectory of the predecessors for the next generation, so as to "inherit the past and usher in the future".
The renovation of the main building of Pingtung Library was won by the Taiwanese architect team "MAYU architects Zhang Malong Chen Yulin United Architects (MAYU architects)." The area of the park is nearly 5 hectares, and it won the title of "the most beautiful forest library" as soon as it opened, and also won the following awards:

Chunruo Specialty Coffee Enters
In recent years, the library operation has not seen the serious atmosphere of the past. On the contrary, it is closer to the new style of reading habits. Therefore, a normal coffee shop is set up in the library. Chunruo specialty coffee is stationed on the first floor of the library. The owner moved to Pingtung and planted it. Taiwanese coffee beans, roasted green beans by themselves, and then choose single-origin coffee brewed by hand or siphon, become a special corner.

1st Floor: Thermal Space
Set up service desks, children's reading areas, newspapers and magazines, etc., to distinguish children from those who need to read quietly. Parents are less stressed when they bring children to the library, and the children's reading area has put on shelves 3,000 English picture books, Hundreds of Chinese picture books and efforts to increase the number of books in the collection also help to cultivate the reading range of little bookworms.

2nd Floor: Peaceful Space
As mentioned earlier, the library has won the title of the most beautiful forest library. This can be fully felt in the reading area on the second floor. The back is leaning against the window, and there are various green trees behind. The square and bright interior space color is what the architectural design team hopes for readers. To create a comfortable atmosphere, there is also a reading area in the center, separated by bookcases without interfering with each other.

3rd Floor: Teen Books
The reading space is mainly for teenagers. The theme of the book collection includes comics, audio and video, and the Internet. The large staircase area can also be used for lectures or video playback. An outdoor reading space is added. When the weather is pleasant, take a book outside, and the cool breeze is indeed a kind of enjoyment , to make reading more diversified and personal.

4th Floor: Pingtung Literature Museum and Diversified Materials
In recent years, the main library of the library has played the responsibility of local cultural preservation and publicity. There will be additional literature halls in the library. For example, the main library of Tainan also has a floor, where the Tainan Hall of Fame and collection of books will be set up. Pingtung will be preserved for a long time. The original aboriginal slate house is placed, and the aboriginal culture and Pingtung literature collection are drawn out as the features of this floor.

5th floor: Lecture Hall
I was unable to walk in due to the epidemic during the shooting, but the seating area outside is very beautiful, and no one else is reading here.
