Sukhothai Airport (Thai: ท่าอากาศยาน สุโขทัย) is a quaint airport, which is different from the modern style of Bangkok Airport. It is built by Bangkok Airways (Bangkok Airways) flights to Thailand. The only option.

This airport is Bangkok Airways' second airport in Thailand. It is located in the Sawankhalok district of Sukhothai Province, about 8 kilometers away from the city. The Sukhothai Airport was built in 1992, and its first flight was officially opened in 1996. It covers a total area of 2,000 acres and contains a 2,100-foot-long airport runway. The airport is surrounded by farmland. Local farmers are hired to grow organic rice. After the harvest, it is not only used for meals on the plane, but also for employees to enjoy and sell.

Looking around Sukhothai Airport, I think the most distinctive of them is a Siamese pagoda, showing the ancient cultural characteristics of Thailand, and the overall building of the airport adopts Thai style, whether it is check-in counters, customs, luggage inspection channels, and even Waiting rooms, etc., are all designed with semi-open air ventilation to give passengers a different experience. In addition, I checked the airport information and found that there are cow farms, ceramic workshops, orchid cultivation farms, etc. in the airport. We didn’t go to visit because we were a little bit late for this trip. If you have the opportunity to travel to Sukhothai, don’t worry. When you leave the customs to the city, you can ask the airport staff for the above-mentioned characteristic locations to increase the fun on the journey.

Note: Sukhothai Airport has won the 2006 and 2007 Smart Travel Asia, World's Best Airports awards.
