The Yamato Hotel is expected to open in 2022. It was formerly known as the Yamato Hotel (ヤマトホテル), which opened during the Japanese occupation in 1939. The three-story building has been renovated and started again. The first floor of the Yamato Cafe (Yamato Coffee) has already opened in 2020. The hotel is located in front of Pingtung Station, near the famous Cifeng Temple in Pingtung.

Dahe Hotel was built in 1935 and became an iconic hotel in Pingtung, a major sugar town in Taiwan at that time. After World War II, it was renamed Dacheng Hotel. After closing in 1999, the first floor store was leased to food, eyewear and other shops for a long time. The exterior is covered with all kinds of advertising signs, concealing the architectural style of historic sites that many locals can hardly detect.
The Daiwa Hotel is an L-shaped reinforced concrete arc building covering an area of 150 square meters. The roof of the building is shaped like a roof tile. The project was repaired, and the building was renovated by the architect Zeng Zhiwei of Natural Foreign Investment Co., Ltd.

The brand story of Ekimae Yamato
Yiqian Yamato Hotel opened in 1939 during the Japanese occupation period and became the only hotel in front of Pingtung Railway Station. It was purchased by a new management team in 2013 and then started a refurbishment plan. The building was renovated into a hostel again. The Ekimae Yamato Cafe on the first floor will start trial operation on April 2020, 4. The hostel is expected to open in 29-2022.
The leader of the Yamato management team is Lai Yuanfeng. In 2015, he first built the predecessor of the Yamato Cafe in Shenglixing Village, Qingdao Street. In 2017, he launched the Yamato Cafe, which was renovated from the old rice mill, in Zhutian Yiyuan. The predecessor was the Dexing Rice Mill Barn co-operated by Wang Yongqing, and it was also a historic building built in 1942.
