◎ Daiyuin Temple, Tokugawa Iemitsu Shrine, the third-generation general of the Tokugawa Shogunate
If you walk in from the door, you can feel the peaceful atmosphere here. According to the inquiry, it was found that Daiyuin was an ancestral hall of Tokugawa Iemitsu. At the beginning, the people of Shengdao felt that there were gods in Nikko Mountain, and they founded Erhuangshan Shrine and Shibenryu Temple. Nikko Mountain is famous for this, and it is said that many monks have visited.After Tokugawa Ieyasu founded the shogunate in Edo in 1603, Nikko Mountain was protected as a ghost gate of Edo. The second general Tokugawa Hidetaka rebuilt the main hall and shrine, which we will see when we visit.
