The Kyoto Botanical Garden (Kyoto Prefecture) is located in Sakyo-ku, Kyoto. It is Japan's first public botanical garden and was built in the early 20th century. Covering an area of approximately 24 square meters, which is equivalent to the Yilan Traditional Art Center Park, it is an ideal leisure place for local residents and tourists in Kyoto, especially families with children. The botanical garden offers beautiful scenery in all seasons, especially in autumn, when the rich vegetation in the garden displays colorful autumn colors. It is an excellent place for family travel, nature exploration and relaxation.
How to get to Kyoto Prefectural Botanical Garden
Take the Kyoto Municipal Subway Karasuma Line to K03 Kitayama Station. It is a direct walk from Exit 3, which is very convenient. If you get off at K04 "Kitaoji Station", exit from Exit 3 and walk about 1 kilometer east. It will take about 12 to 15 minutes to arrive. Especially during the cherry blossom viewing season, it is recommended to get off at Kitaoji Station and pass along the famous half-timbered path to admire the beautiful weeping cherry blossoms, adding more highlights to the day trip.

A brief introduction to the Kyoto Prefectural Botanical Garden and experience in visiting the garden.
We visited the Kyoto Prefectural Botanical Garden in spring and autumn respectively. There are different flowers and scenery for visitors to enjoy in the four seasons. Although the official website mentions that "it has 120,000 plants and 12,000 species, a greenhouse area of 4,612 square meters, and 25,000 plants and 4,500 species inside", it is difficult to appreciate its beauty based on these data alone. Therefore, I specially photographed the red leaves and other flower scenes in autumn, hoping that everyone can feel the natural charm of the botanical garden with their own eyes.
The red leaves in the park are mainly concentrated in the maple forest area, with a small pool as the foreground, making the scenery even more charming. On that day, many parents came with their children to play, and I even saw the children concentrating on sketching. I was very envious of this kind of parent-child activity close to nature. Staying away from electronic entertainment and allowing children to interact with nature is of great help to their physical and mental growth.
The red foliage season in Kyoto begins as scheduled every year. Although the Kyoto Botanical Garden is not as famous as Tofukuji Temple or Eikando Temple, the natural and rustic red foliage scenery in the garden is equally touching.
