I drove all the way and there are not many cars along the way. I thought it would be suitable for renting a car to enjoy the autumn leaves. If it is about 20 minutes from JR Shinano Matsukawa Station, it is also about 30-40 minutes by car from other nearby stations. After arriving, stop at The parking lot in the park can be reached within 3 minutes on foot.
After a little inquiries, I learned that the seven-color maple on the Omine Plateau is a well-known maple spot in Nagano Prefecture. The guide from Ikeda Town explained that the maple tree is 250 years old, and the height of the maple is 12 meters at the peak of the autumn leaves. The diameter of a circle is about 15 meters, even spectacular.It is very different from the red leaves that I saw in Kyoto before. It stands tall on the edge of the mountain, and the maple leaves show different colors, which gives them the reputation of "seven-color maple".
